Thanks so much for this post and your brilliant work. I’ve been totally out of the loop with VPVR updates, until now!
Much appreciated,

I’m not aware of a 7/29 build and I’m not sure I can do anything about your bug, but can you post a picture?

Also, if you could PM a copy of the table, that would be helpful. I tried pulling it from vpuniverse, but I get an error when unzipping it and the table is missing the playfield image.

I did. I see the issue, but don’t know what’s causing it yet. All other playfield lighting is working. Give me a little time to see what I can figure out.

Ok, this appears to be a table specific issue. I don’t believe it’s an issue with the VPVR build.
The lights for the faces use the image “MB insertslow”. However, there are no images for the faces in this file, so it’s completely transparent and you can’t see the lights. Instead, select the lights for the faces on layer 6 and assign the image “MBX-pf” and save the file. This should resolve your issue.

Have you tried enabling ‘Reflect Dynamic Elements on Playfield’ in the VR options? That should solve the issue.

yes you are right, faces are missing in this file. correct the “MB insertlow” should solve the problem on this table too. Thank you very much to figure this out. it seems the old versions use other shaders. BTW. you guys did fantastic work. VR Pinball is fantastic

November 11, 2020 at 1:35 pm #209873Do I extract the files directly into my root folder “Visual Pinball” ? Also, do I put my VR Room table files in that same root folder or add another folder like VRTables?
Thanks

Yes, directly into your root “Visual Pinball” folder. Depends on your setup where you put your tables. I have two separate directories, but you could theoretically keep them all in one.

Thank you!
I have Visual Pinball, Future Pinball and PinUPSystem all on a dedicated drive. Under J:Visual Pinball, I have a Tables folder and a VRTables folder. I have VPX and PuPPacks running beautifully and most Future pinballs running right.. Just don’t want to screw what works up after 8 months of screwing up, backing up, restoring and screwing up again.
Just bought an Oculus Quest 2, so here we go with a whole new learning process. So far, the guides I’ve read havn’t been totally informative. At this step of the games with VR, I’m a Step 1, 2, 3….detailed learner.

January 6, 2021 at 7:18 am #218449Thank you so much for creating VPVR!
I managed to install it with the files provided in less than 15 minutes and fully working on Oculus Quest (Virtual Desktop).
It’s a breeze to install when following this tutorial:

January 8, 2021 at 7:55 pm #218860I just got an email notifying me that Sebastian just released an update to the 10.7 Version of VPVR on SourceForge. Are you working with him? Were your modifications/improvements ported to this new release?

I asked the same at vpforums.org, when I read about the new version.
