Hello,
I have a pinball cabinet that I just upgraded from a GTX1060 to a GTX1070ti because I was noticing lag spikes and stuttering on certain tables and the lag issue is still there. I have “optimized” and played with all graphical settings in Visual Pinball (see picture below). I have tried lowering the graphics settings to the lowest and the lag spike issue is still there. I think the issue may be that my CPU is not strong enough to handle certain tables or table event triggers. Here are my specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro (I turned off all useless settings)
Motherboard: Intel DH67BL (Can support 2nd or 3rd gen processors)
CPU: i5 2500 cooled by Deepcool GAMMAXX 200T
SSD: Kingston A400 120GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: Zotac 1070ti mini
PSU: Thermaltake Smart White 500W
Playfield Monitor: BenQ 1920×1080
Backglass Monitor: Dell 1440×900
I am also using PinballX as a frontend. Is it worth upgrading the CPU to an i5 3550 for 25$? Or should I get a new CPU/Motherboard/Ram? I was thinking an i3 9100F would do the job paired with DDR4 2400MHz ram. What do you guys think?
Thanks
