I am using the v10.6, 28/12/2020 version. I tried the 15/3/2020 and it has the same result. I updated .Net in case that mattered but with no effect. Even if I launch VPVR directly with the opencomposite dll, the app opens, gets to starting game then shuts down. Definitely not a launcher issue.
Probably not the right place to note it but when I used the VPVR 15/3/2020 version, the windows in the minimal room blacks out (whereas the 28/12/2020 version lets me see the designers image outside the window (just an FYI)). So I am keeping 28/12/2020 for the minute.
I can launch VPVR or the launcher within Steamvr – no problem. But if I launch from my desktop, I get the wrong monitor issue. I am using a laptop with NVidia RTX2070 and I read elsewhere the wrong monitor issue might be an NVidia firmware problem . I cannot get opencomposite to work with just replacing the dll on either verson of VPVR. maybe it is Nvidia again?
Point to note, if I try VPVR 10.7, launching from the desktop (not within SteamVR) will launch correctly in the quest 2. This is perfect for me but I am not using 10.7 based on all the forum notes about it being beta and I noticed it messes up some tables (in particular, my favourite Indiana Jones where the captive ball size is too small to stay locked)
My quest 2 is connected by the link cable into the laptop and my hdmi port is empty.
Anyhow, at least I have a workaround with Steamvr directly but I was hoping to take advantage of the performance boost

I used to edit the launcherVPX file when the launcher was first released. I found you had to be very careful with the syntax in the table array or you have problems with using it afterwards. If you download a new launcher update zip and install it, you have to redo all your previous changes on the new file, as well as additional changes for any new unrecognized tables you have added. So it’s better to just rename the table’s filename to match the arrays naming so it will pick it up.
If you wait until you have 10 or more new tables to add like I do, theirs the issue of recognizing which one of them don’t match the table array. You just have to start the launcher and check if every table you added shows up in the launcher. Then edit it’s filename name to match what’s in the array. You have to load the launcher vpx file in a non VR version of VPX to load the script and see the table array, or print the table array for reference.
I wish the launcher would just load all tables in the working directory, then just use the array to match artwork that does match. then at least you wouldn’t have to deal with table naming.

I have been going thru my Table directory and comparing it to a printout of the VPLauncher table array. I have over 400 tables, VRROOM, FSS, and Standard VPX with Db2s backglasses. Some are duplicate tables ( filter is off) of the various versions. I’ve been thru the A-G’s so far and have found 18 table names missing from the array so far. When I submit the names what format would you prefer? A spreadsheet, or document file?
While I was comparing the names to the array, I also compared them to my actual filenames and made them match the array name syntax exactly.
I noticed that on tables that use apostrophes like cactus Jack’s you have a ? in the array name instead of the apostrophe. So on tables like CJ, BBBB, and GI, I had to Remove the apostrophes from the table names to get them to be recognized ( since ? is an illegal character for windows filenames). Are you trying to use the ? as a character wild card? If so it doesn’t seem to be working. Why not just put the apostrophes in the array name? You have a apostrophe on Going Nuts’ table by Gotlieb..
I tried making the Graphics sheet from the template, but haven’t figured out how to successfully do that yet.

You mean save the modified VPX file and attach it to a reply? I’ll have to Zip it!

Great work on this, such a good idea and thanks. “VR Room Getaway Minimal (Williams 1992) v1.0” doesn’t show up in this for some reason, also the window keeps losing focus and stealing others, can’t input anything into the filters because of the window stealing.

The Table is “High Speed 2 : The Getaway”. If you put “high”, “speed” and “getaway” in the filename, it will be recognized.If you want to setup something at the launcher, you should disable the option “hold vpx_gl on top”, because you want vrlauncher on top, if you must setup things. if you’ve finished your setup, you should reactivate “hold vpx_gl on top”.You need to login in order to like this post: click here

I finished going thru all my tables in the VR directory, I found another 52 that need to be added.
Should I use the 3.23 version to make the updates or do you have a newer one coming out?
I found a problem with the WOZ table I had to remove the original, 2018 from the include quotes to get it to work.

Hi b4sti, could you add the reverse option for fav cabinets too on your next release ? Also, the launcher was picking Williams’ “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” as Stern’s “197x Dracula” and Williams’ at same time. “Masters of the Universe” mini cab stopped displaying ( blank cab ) all of the sudden.
