Water World (Gottlieb 1995) 1.1 not seeing rom

when I run the new vpx game 1.0 or 1.1 it is not seeing the rom. VP9 it is fine

Checked vpinmame and it says rev 3 rom is good no errors.

I downloaded a new one anyway and it still is not seeing the rom.

These files are in the rom is something missing?

When I unzip waterwld all the files are there vpin mame says it is ok.

When I unzip waterwl2 the omly file in it is gprom2.bin.

Changed the table to look for waterwl2 instead of waterwld now the table starts but will not accept quarters??

any sugestions

I put the missing files into waterwl2  by coping them from waterwld  and rezipping it same results table starts no quarters

Line 12 says    Const swTournament =5

5 should be quarters I did not find any keys for quarters???

Have both rom’s in your Rom’s Folder and use the waterwld.nv file the came with download
Not sure why you want to use waterwl2 Rom but then change the nv  file to – waterwl2

No matter what I did the table would not see the original rom.

The waterwl2 rom it is seeing and runs

I added all the files from the original rom to waterwl2

changed the name of the nvram file the game came with to waterwl2 saved it in the nvram folder

now everything works

I tried to rename the rom that is working back to waterwld reinstalled the new nvram file as waterwld and it will not see the rom.

Put everything back to waterwl2 and it is working.
