Hey guys, I’ve been experiencing micro stutter when using B2S, I am currently on windows 10. Would you recommend downgrading back to windows 7? It seems a lot of people prefer that OS. Only some tables have the issues, so maybe it is just the specific table or b2s download?

      Thanks !

Stutter and db2s is often a bad db2s or a computer that can’t handle the load. Or idiots that run antivirus software. Win7 vs Win10. You will get different answers. There is no denying – no support for Win7 sometime around 2020. Not that far into the future. I run Win7. I prefer it for several reason. Rob, which is very into the deep core of VP recommends Win10.

Both platforms should be ok really. What you should not run is Vista.

But really. Should I downgrade to Windows 10 32-bit instead of 64bit? would that make a difference?

No. 64bit has no problem running 32bit code. The other way is a no go. I expect that one day in the not too far future VP as 64bit is the recommended version. Now, it isn’t. So just make sure that you stay away from the 64bit version of setup.exe, pinballx’ default install, freezy’s 64bit etc. If you have Win10 and it is working – make sure it doesn’t auto upgrade. That is one of the danger areas Win10 users have. They don’t know what m$ might come up with next. Since m$ “gave away” their OS, they for me seems to ignore all common sense when it comes to privacy and common sense.

Read behind the lines and you see easily. I use Windows only because of DirectX which is a VP requirement. :)

Try right clicking on a B2S backglass while a table is running in VPX and choose to run the backglass in “exe mode”.  Restart the table and see if that makes a difference.

I run win 10 long term service branch (ltsb) pretty darn stripped down windows version. Doesn’t come pre-installed with cap like the Microsoft store, edge, etc
