Messing with some queries on index/subforums and trying to improve load times. I think index loads good now but subforums seem slower when choosing from index. im just trying some things… sorry if you see some things messed up for a while but shouldnt be to bad until i find whats causing it

Just about every single forum shows new posts, regardless of how recently they’ve been updated.
Semi-related, is there any way to add a “mark all posts read” button somewhere? And the New Posts since Last Visit feature hasn’t worked for me ever.

@lynnindenver That’s odd can you try clearing your browser cache for Vpinball. When did you start seeing the new post issue? I’ll look into adding a “mark all as read” option in profile settings.

No change. It’s been happening since yesterday. The only ones showing “unread” instead of “new” are VPVR and PinballY, but otherwise I’m seeing new even on forums that haven’t had a post in months and haven’t shown either new or unread as long as I’ve at least looked at posts since the last post there.

Load times still have some issues.
And I’ve confirmed, viewed a post in PinballY, and the “unread” icon went away and was not replaced with “new”. This forum still shows “new” even though I viewed this thread just now.

The forum “index” /forums should load very quickly the index is only part I was targeting and obviously broke the tracking of new posts. Thanks for reporting it’s very helpful as I cannot fix these things without great feedback like you have provided. Will be fixing issue by end of the day hopefully(after work)

maybe this fall. I plan to get back into things after summer.i spent a lot of time re building the new app before deadline from app stores New api regulations Went into effect… so that was a bigger project then most would understand and honestly think it’s a much better app so was worth all the effort. Only 800 app installs so Far and that’s a bit of a disappointment but new app has only been out a month.
I need to finish the soccer table first then maybe other vp projects will follow but it’s been way to nice of weather here to work the real job all day and not enjoy outside in Minnesota Before the long winter comes.********************************************************

One thing I noticed recently at least for me. After logging in I don’t get redirected back to the page I was on, instead I get routed to the home page. I don’t think that used to be the case but I could be wrong.
Not a super big deal as I only have to hit the back button twice, but thought I’d mention it.

Major site hack 9-5-2020 around 10:00pm restored site from daily backup from 9-5-2020 5:45pm best i could do we only lost 4 hours or so. Sorry guys lets hope the hack dont come back IT COULD as this can happen anytime as you all know.
