Disabled advanced interface for “insert image” icon in editor to stop error on firefox browser for now. should still work but now more like 1990 style :)

Is there a chance that the page will load faster at some point?
Pageviews have been very, very slow for months.
For me it’s the best pinball site out there. So I really regret the slow loading.
Downloads work well and quickly.
It also doesn’t matter whether I surf with a PC, tablet or smartphone and whether I surf with the browser or the app. It’s always slow.And it’s the only site with that problem. I use a very fast connection.

@jfr1 me either but put site in maintenance mode last 2 hours and ran database optimizations also disabled a few non important features to see if server loads go down…. time will tell

I confirm, the “Download” page is loading very slowly since I remember. It still takes even 20 seconds:

I think, it’s the connection to Germany. At the moment every sitechange take 10 to 15 seconds.?
In the morning here in Germany it’s a little faster.

@joey2001 made some changes and temporarily removed many features of site for testing. See if its any better. Site should load much faster if your logged out as there is a 2 hour cache delay for non logged in users. Â

It’s 07:40 in the morning here. Sadly I see only a little difference. As I wrote in the morning the siteloads are always a little faster.
So I will see later, if there are differences.

@randr in incognito (not logged in) Download page (https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/) loads 3.88 sec, when logged in – still 20 sec., so the problem is only for logged users.Â

I don’t know what in the nuts you did to the site, but my requests are QUICK now. They used to lag a bit (downloads were screaming) but the request for the addresses would be latent. I always assumed a dirty fiber at an FDP or something…this is great. Thanks @randr!
