VP 9 to VPX conversion
I rebuilt the code, the only thing I reused from the vp9 version was the upper PF diverter animation.
I played a few games and everything seems to be working, but I need beta testers to make sure everything works.

June 2, 2017 at 8:26 pm #56303Table looks great and plays really good.
I did notice that I wasn’t getting many center drains. After looking at a couple of photos the flippers don’t look too long but they do appear to be too close together.

June 3, 2017 at 10:42 am #5635732, this is looking and playing great! Thanks for your work on this.
I have tested it in desktop mode. The flippers all seem to tall to me, and none of the table viewing settings seems to correct it. I noticed by looking at the images of the real table that the height of the flippers appears to be shorter than the height of the outlane plastics (which is a really tall stack on this table vs. a more typical case where the height is roughly aligned to the height of the flipper). Does this make sense?

June 3, 2017 at 12:35 pm #56365Scotty ,You can select the primitive flippers in the editor and change the ysize to 2. That makes them normal size.

June 3, 2017 at 1:52 pm #56377I ran about 20 ball thru it and it seems fine to me… I did notice a graphic issue with the right hand kicker hole is bleeding thru the ramps… in FS

Thanks but that didn’t work for me. I switched to wwfr_106 and everything works fine.

June 3, 2017 at 3:36 pm #56383I copied and pasted the flipper primitives from the VP 9 version, why didn’t anyone say anything when this table was released.
anyways
Flipper length was changed to 106
Flipper primitives are set to x=1.86 y=2, z=1.72
right kicker glitch has been fixed
I hid the clear plastic over the left bumper, I think the table looks better without it.
To do
I been playing this on my desktop PC, now is the time to suggest FS settings.
Make primitives for the ramp entrance signs.
I will make a primitive for the apron decal giving everyone the option to use the regular or Randar decal. Or hiding it to show the Data East logo.

June 3, 2017 at 4:15 pm #56390I played for about half an hour and the flow is really nice. I noticed some small things:
Start-up:Despite the rom versions (1.03 or newer 1.06) the table give me an error : playfield high power disabled by coin door interlock. I checked the vp9 pm5 version but this one does the same. Tried deleting the nv and cfg files but error remains. I can bypass the error by inserting coins and starting a game so it does hamper me from playing.Flippers:Left : there is a little bump at the flipper when the ball comes down the inner left lane. This makes it very difficult to shoot the upper right lane towards the upper playfield. In general the upper right lane is very difficult (for me) to hit and did not succeed. The angle from the left flipper towards the upper right lane seems a bit off.
Right : it is not possible to do a backflip to the upper right lane. This was possible in the vp9 pm5 version. Not sure if this is possible on the real one.Center post is positioned just left from the center.Visuals:The red lights near the slingshots are almost the same color as the pegs and they are barely/not visible when the flashing lights are on.You need to login in order to like this post: click here
