You are right. For a basic setup with more db2S backglass versions you just use one single name for each used variant. This way you ensure to always load up the corresponding file and table version together. Your fantasy or authentic selection does only need to be setup with the right mouse button on your backglass screen. I have a desciption picture as example for you attached.

@naeromagus Your enjoyment is the best sign that every effort from all the authors who teamed up together to reach this dB2S result is successful and it does also let our pairs of eyes shine together synchronized with your joy.

Many thanks hauntfreaks and rothbauerw and to everybody, all the very best!

I have troubles with the new dB2S from blacksad – I only see the middle flasher and nothing else. Does somebody experience that, too? I wonder what that could be…

I can remember from yesterday that I was wondering about one flasher also once. I did not check back the timings and was also testing the nvidia ultra low latency mode.

I have read through this whole support topic and done everything suggested but the only backglass that displays and works for me with Knorr’s table is the one posted on mega.zs by chucky87

I would be glad to help you, it seems your problem is different to any listed ideas or?

I just played a few games. One question remains unclear, is the left and right cage a bit slower than in other versions preventing the pinball to use the outlane out? (They work in test mode, but I think they are maybe not activated as fast as I would expect them to be?)

Another joyful day! Thank you very much to everyone involved to write the history of visual pinball to another highlight!

                  :yahoo:

The cages should not be slower than other versions. It’s all driven by triggers and vpinmame.
The table plays a bit faster than other versions so it may seem slower.

Current Project: Perpetual updates of VPX physics.

It is for me from the real pinball not 100% exactly clear where the sensor is placed but maybe I had only a bit unluck with my three first games as it does also occur with other TOTAN.

Nothing to worry about, just an info from me to maybe reach some tiny little bit more, what is already within the actual and seen perfection included in this table nearly impossible to improve! You all created another masterpiece. :-)

Thank you very much! The weighting to the respective interests of the majority of the friendly and respectful members does not let any freedom of action to interests of members who do care more for their own interests.

In E-Sport for example you will also experience an instand ban.

We are not only responsible for what we do, we are also responsible for what we are not doing!

As he was stepping over rules he was able to read as a highlighted banner I do have to say that it was mildly spoken a negligently intention of the acquiescence to harm the normal user and lots of authors.

The existence of the marority interests is for what I stand up for, therefore every single action that was done altogether was for him fair and deserved.

The remission of sins is a different story. That was absolute no trivial offence to lots of hard working members and their passionate hobby.

The pure combination if sold out or not is completely wrong! It is also easy to activate it and sell another quantum. The whole combination does need to be set in the right direction. To sell a link as a package is together with the misinformation for download links an ultimate lack of good sence!

It is a thin line like to be treading on thin ice. It is ultimately completely unacceptable to have this idea of a bundled service alive.

If that is not understand and corrected from the Name in a Box website owner the next bundled service will be not far away.

It is the duty from the members to stand up against the try from free riders to profit directly from free software.

@toxie @fuzzel It is up for the vpx dev and the other users to decide the pros and cons. I think it is time to stop the free riders as it does may harm the future of our hobby.

I copied my response from this case here to here too as I am not at the PC atm.

                              https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=42614#entry432616

I had the idea that unknown users or every user may should receive at each vpx start the message that each part of the software is free and combined also links to well known websites.

I noticed it today too. And tried to save users to spend money there for a combined download. The link to vpuniverse does not give my dB2S upload and also a different author as result back. It was for me instantly clear that a wrong link in a youtube description does force an unknown or lazy user to pay instead to say in public that an invalid link was given as a download reference. (I investigated the website also to see if my first assumption was valid as a reversal test proof.)

                              The case: https://youtu.be/KgutRt5kcDQ

As other website owners should know about it too I also informed Paul and Randr.

Maybe it is time that before each vpx start a stoppable message screen does inform unknown users that the usage of each part of the software is free of charge.

These are valid links to the shown youtube dB2S: https://www.vpforums…&showfile=11264

The picture is not able to show every information of the working backglass. My goal was not only to see a normal robocop dB2S, it is my dedicated homage for robocop and you may are able to let yourself catch and to be transported from delight from this tribute as a whole integrated work of art in more than one aspect too. :)

You have the choice to select out of six different colours for the DMD.

All new versions are only completely usable with a modified table script. The script help was submitted in a few downloads which include the separate script changes for Dozer or Knorr tables (for example):

Dozer’s DMD or Mods table dB2S and script changes .zip
Knorr’s table dB2S and script changes day version.zip
For Knorr’s table you may also try to use the script extension as latest script entry and not as shown in the script example.

To modify a table script you need to open your vpinballx.exe and close the following table selection dialog. Now open the table of your choice (top left: file followed by open) that is using a modern table DMD. The old none DMD tables are not compatible with the newer dB2S. After you see the table inside the editor you only need to open the script itself also in the top left with the script button. After the script is shown please place for Dozer the script extension where the example does show it. For Knorr you are also able to just paste it to the end of the script.

Please close the vpinballx.exe with the top right “X” and save your changes with the following question dialog.

If everything does work as expected, it does look like this example: https://youtu.be/zDkrtFZjvts

The table Is the knorr’s one, b2s server 1.3.0.2

Backglass i have tried all the ones for knorr’s table

To me not in front of the cabinet right now it seems that this is a script problem. I did not include the script in every dB2S table version. Did you ensure the script is saved with the described modifications?

With dB2S there was years ago a limit reached. To solve it you may have a look to this short description or the corresponding description.

                                          Main solution:
                                          4GB Patch for the B2SBackglassServerEXE
                                          http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php

The reason for the stutter problem from a table and a dB2S was to my knowledge never recognized or identified to the exact reason. It seems that more interactions within the exact same time frame are sometimes more critical. Also the art or the usage of the table optic may be a reason. For the dB2S there are also limits which may or may not interact or which could lead to a vulnerability. And last but not least also the pc hardware and its operating system with additional software and the setup and also the drivers are a reason. To predict what does happen is sometimes involved with luck and is seen clear often only after the own usage.

If there is a need for a simple dB2S to select a new choice, each functional dB2S from each Table is able to do it after it was renamed. My problem is that for me this need or scenario was never there. Each new dB2S was now submitted without the choice to enable the extra grill. I would have preffered to be able to have this grill option for a later purpose which I now rejected due to the feedback from you. As this problem should be probably visible since the beginning from the dB2S era it left me speechless. My only advice derived from the feedback talking with Jon Osborne to solve the invisible dB2S is to use any other table and test if the dB2S version without an extended grill does load up. For example creature from the black lagoon table which I used as a quick test to examine your described behaviour. After that he used the dB2S again for CV and was able to use it. Every version with an additional grill was still not able to use for him.

I am glad to hear more information and I do hope that this is a rare problem which is as described able to be solved by the rotational usage of any table or any dB2S likely combined with a name change or a new table install and or script control.
