Put on your polyester leisure suit and slip on those go-go boots because you'll soon be dancing with the grooviest Williams’ Swinger table from 1972.

This is a 2 player version of their 4 player table Fun-Fest released early the following year.

I was inspired to make this table for my virtual pinball cabinet after my friend bough one to restore. I started making this table over a year ago for VP 9.21, but I only recently found the time to converted it for VPX v10.6. Artwork was hand drawn referencing photographs of an actual table.

Cabinet frontend media files, B2S backglass and POV files are included. I designed this table for use in a cabinet with three screens. Version 1.1 now supports desktopmode!

Press F6 to change game settings.

I hope everyone enjoys this table!

Extract table and directB2S file into VPX's tables folder.

Version 1.3 - Revised tilt functions to match Fun-Fest's and fixed bug to update score on tape before high scoring player enters initials.

Version 1.2 - Overhauled tilt functions.

Version 1.1 - Added desktop mode and POV file. Fixed top left yellow bumper's light.

Version 1.0e - Increased flipper friction and elasticity for more ball control. Flippers should act almost if they are sticky and can easily stop the ball.

    - Conservative and Liberal post position option setting. Conservative mode is default. Liberal mode tightens the gap at the Swing Reel saucer and at both outlanes (modify the script to change this setting at line 107).

    - Extra ball award system is fixed. When certain scores are achieved, as listed in the lower left instruction card, you should be awarded an extra ball. The calculation was made after all bonus points were given and would most times leapfrog over the matching score and not award the extra ball. These extra ball high-score values can be modified in the script at line 171.

    - Scoring system bug fixed. At the end of a game with a new high score, 1000 points were left off the high score shown on the sticky tape.

Version 1.0d - Added DOF support. Adjusted moving target size and location to match target object location and increased flipper friction for better ball control.

Version 1.0 to 1.0c - Early release. Many bug fixes.

Thanks! I’m confident enough about this table’s gameplay to post it in the gallery for everyone to download.

      Sweet looking table.

Any plans to release the 4 Player sister table?

Yes, I believe making this into the 4 player Fun-Fest would be relatively easy. They are essentially the same game.

I found  a pic of my friend’s table that inspired this work…

Trivia: Swinger must have been an afterthought, yet a pre-release, to Fun-Fest. Both Swinger and Fun-Fest’s playfields are labeled as Fun-Fest!

Great looking table.  Thanks!  I have found a glitch playing my first game.  Ball gets stuck at the very top left, right by the bumper.  No amount of nudging would move it.  Just thought you should know.  Lighting and play field is really good.

Thanks for this! I remember playing this when younger.

I get the ball stuck in upper left corner during play. (tried adding photo without success)

I actually just moved the primitive in the editor and now the ball doesn’t have a ledge to rest on at the top left.  Very fun game.  I like the fact that this EM has a kick-back.  Very cool.  But those outlanes are deadly!!

OK, I’ll make an update to fix the top bumper issue. I also noticed that the SaveSettings sub doesn’t read back the 2nd letter of the high score which is also fixed in version 1.0c.

And Teahaus, on the actual pinball machine those outlanes are just as bad!

I uploaded  v1.0c. Texture has been added to the bumper caps and a shadow to the moving target.
