S34 - Cue Ball Wizard - Shooter
Cue Ball Wizard shooter as used in Vogliadicanes table. To further improve the quality of the object you need good decal scans! Prerenderd, VPX render and Blender versions included. For VPX render use you need to make your own blue and red acrylic material. For the prerenderd version you need a "dead" white material with no extra gloss or reflections. The cue stick and the screws are not prerenderd and need a VPX material. Shiny glossy for the cue and of course, metal for the screws. Set the "Disable lighting" to at least 0.3! All meshes rotate around the same pivot point for easy animation. The low edge of the red base is set to Z zero! Read More -
Williams Apron - S34
Williams Apron as used in Hot Tip. Thanks to mlager8 for the redraw! Blender file included. For use in VPX: Make a white material for the Apron and one for the instruction cards. The texture has no white colour for the Apron paint. Apron, plunger cover and Apron light need to have the same coordinates. Apron prim Z hight is zero! Plunger cover is an extra prim. Set the Z hight so it sits right above the plunger. UV-Maps for use in PS included! Read More -
Bumper Caps Blender - S34 - BorgDog
My BC collection for Blender. BorgDog send me his Gottlieb bumper cap to upload it here! -
SEGA Sonic Flipper Bats
Blender file and ready to use OBJ included. Use the UV-Layout export for orientation if you want to change colour / add texture. If the size or shape of the bat is off, let me know! Read More -
Dead bumpers - meshes + textures
Here are a pair of dead bumper meshes, one flat/slanted top and one rounded. Includes the associated bumper skirt, rubber and ambient occlusion textures. You can paint directly onto the texture to add your art. I included a color sample since many caps have colored ornamentation. To color your own use the base AO texture and color over the area using a multiply mode in Photoshop to retain the contouring. Read More -
EM kicker cup mesh pack
Here is a mesh and texture for a 1960s era Gottlieb kicker cup. Slight variations on this cup can be found throughout the 60s and 70s from every manufacturer. This replaces a visible VP kicker. Orientation on these seems to vary depending on placement so I made a notched left and notched right version. I also included textures for a white, red, and yellow version. It is easy to see on the texture where the cup colors are so you can add other colors in Photoshop if needed. Usage: Physics should be turned off for the mesh. Mesh rotates perfectly at ObjRotZ. The sides of the cup start at Z -5, which is approximately where the bevel would meet the cup. You can scale x,y,z as needed to match the hole you cut out. Correct playfield depth is achieved when Z scale is at 100 and Z height is at 0. With a light lower than -24 and an active VP material at .99999 or lower you should be able to light it up from beneath. I also included a mesh called ”kickcupphysics”. Usage: Physics should be turned on for this mesh if you want it to catch and hold a ball. This should be invisible but can be placed in the exact same XYZ position and scale as your visible kicker mesh. This cheats with simplified geometry and a slight taper near the bottom to keep the ball centered in the kicker cup (centering won’t matter if you are using a small, centered VP kicker). The VPX file included in this zip has the cup meshes and physics mesh scaled and textured for easy copy/pasting into your project. Read More -
Tent Lane Guide Primitives
update to the short, medium and long tent lane guides from the fp primitive collection, mainly the addition of the vent holes and some smoothing of the round ends (amazing what you can see, or not, in a 4k cab). all are sized/rotated to import at 100,100,100 size, z of 0 and no rotation, so basically stick the stock primitive object on your playfield, import mesh of your choice and BOOM! Gottlieb Apron, Arch, Plunger Cover and Ball Gate Primitives
NOW with new Gottlieb Ball Gate and Flap primitives Here are 3d models of a couple different Gottlieb aprons, their plunger cover, and a basic arch that fits most of their standard body games from early 70s em's through the system 80 era. Includes photoshop files with images for all those, setup so that you just need to change/select a background color, then change the color overlays on the appropriate layers to get the scheme you need for your tables. A stripped down vpx table is also included for easy copy/paste if that's your thing. I have no illusions about ever creating 3d models like the talented guys around here, but I thought I'd give a go at making some basics that I wanted for my builds. These are likely not perfect reproductions, but they are pretty darn close based off measurements of parts I have. I did have to do some guessing on the older em apron as I do not own one of those. as usual feel free to adjust/change/modify/hack whatever you wish to do on these. SEE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR SOME BASIC USE GUIDELINES. Read More -
Gottlieb 2 inch round flipper mesh pack
A pack of new meshes for Gottliebs with rounded 2 inch flippers. These are found in many Gottliebs from the 1960s and were replaced by the flat top embossed ones sometime in the late 60s. All are modeled from scratch based on a flipper size of vp base radius 20, end radius 13, length 83. @loserman 76 tested and approved. Pack includes: L/R flipper bat L/R flipper bat/rubber combo rubber mesh L/R texture w/text L/R texture w/o text L/R text alpha mask These came in all different color combinations over the years. White on blue text seems to be the most common so I included that as a texture. Also included in this pack is a text alpha layer so that you can make any color combination of text/flipper that you like without losing the shading. Just give the alpha your desired text color and select the flipper part of the texture and multiply any color you like over it. Separate bat and rubber meshes allow you to assign unique materials and only use one texture. There is a rubber/flipper combo mesh included here for the lazy, but FFS don't use it. You'll only embarrass yourself. Read More -
