This may be the same in other countries, but the same question is asked in Australia as “What do you do for a crust?” To which my answer is normally “I leave my jocks on for three weeks”.

Cheers guys. It will never be better as some things can’t be fixed, but it sure will be different and I plan to make the most of the opportunities that this difference opens to me. To do anything else would just make me a sad old ****. lol

I got nuffin. My year went to total shit early on and I basically had the whole year off from VP.
I must say however, I am super impressed how 2018 saw SSF become pretty much common place in tables. Warms me heart it does. ;)

RustyCardores replied to the topic DMD behind playfield & under glass in the forum Cabinet Builds 2 months ago
At least the DMD is closer to where your eyes would be. Maybe that makes it more distracting/challenging!
I don’t find it a distraction at all during game play and less eye travel results in less “playfield blackout”.

Interesting placement. Do you have any problems with reflections off the glass making it difficult to see it? Also do you any problems with diffraction or distortion through the glass?
George
No problems with reflections off playfield or distortion through glass. The image above is pretty much WYSIWYG.

Well it’s taken me almost 2 years but I have finally swapped out the old DMD screen for a better one. It has much better colour and a much greater viewing angle so it now looks bright and contrasty from everywhere. I’m really am quite surprised with how much DMD detail I have been missing out on all this time.

Oh i don’t mind, was just hoping someone could share in my excitement. Yesterday Terry got me going on FX3, so it’s working with those tables now as well.
Just fine-tuning some tables one at a time with the sound issue. Lord of the Rings for example, all of the sound was at the exciters, it appears it won’t use the 7.1 setting, so I had to mess…[Read more]

No one may be paying attention…but i don’t even care. I’ve got all of my VPX tables working great with SSF.
Downloading DOFLinx to see if i can figure out how to get it going with FX3 and FP…curious as to how i can do it in VP9.
Thanks to everyone above for the info!

RustyCardores replied to the topic Stitching partial playfield scans into a single image in the forum Visual Pinball Resources 7 months, 4 weeks ago
Part of my job is reproducing fine artworks for print repro. Until recently the artwork was shot using a 1.2Gigapixel Pentacon scanning camera. Sadly, that died and being 9 years old is kind considered old tech these days and not worth repairing.
So currently, I am reproducing the art using a 42mp Sony and a sliding wall that moves the art so t…[Read more]
