I connected the ledwiz board I had and it was recognized by the pc. I downloaded ledblinky just to get a baseline and it recognized the device. I ran the included ledtester and it seem to work fine. When I replaced the ledwiz.dll with the newer modded version it gave me that same error I was getting before, so I guess I will stick with the original for now. I think I am going to try the LED strip light amp route and see how that goes. Thank you very much to everyone who helped me with this
