Point me towards a coloured ROM and I’ll give it a try :)
I know the Cactus Canyon Continued in colour looks fantastic on my pinDMD3, but that is utilizing the dmdext project to grab the colour DMD from my screen not actually loading a coloured ROM afaik.

so I’m seeing it more than just a rom… I ran my pin2dmd on a test rig last night… even tho they did play they sure didnt look anything like this….

Wait, we can play color roms in VP now? How did I miss this revelation? That would be amazing. Do these run the official color DMD roms, or are the custom user made roms? I need to order a PinDMD asap if this is a reality now.

They are not “ColorDMD”, they’re Smart DMD roms

I believe these files only work with the pin2dmd display… not the pinDMD3… can anyone confirm that assumption?
Edit: I see we are talking about the pallet files here… I had asked russ if pinDMD3 could use these files over at vpforums and he said he’d take a look at it. So I believe I’ve answered my own question :)
