Hello it has been a few years and I see things have changed a lot with Visual Pinball. So I am here to relearn again the new. I am starting off with desktop only but with a goal to eventually (after I have learned as much as I can ) get into a virtual pinball cabinet. I know most people here probably have a lot of time to build their own but I have zero time to take on a project like this. Yes I am considering buying a prebuilt one as it will get me into the “game” a lot faster instead of waiting a number of years to have the time to build it myself. I have the money now but unfortunately not the time. Looking forward to revisiting virtual pinball!

December 18, 2017 at 10:26 pm #71593Welcome BACK! i will say building your own is the way to go, you will never get really what you want pre-built and will be modding whatever you get to your liking anyways. That said it will take you just as much time learning and loading the cab up! :) It is a great hobby so either way you wont be disappointed

December 19, 2017 at 10:31 am #71626Welcome back, you should fine that the learning curve these days isn’t as bad as there are lots of helpful info and guides on getting set up. There’s a newer installer for VP that makes things much easier than they once were.

December 19, 2017 at 12:39 pm #71633Thanks but there is no way I will be building a cab. Unfortunately time is the problem. Money isn’t. I am here to try to learn how to work the tables into a cabinet so when I do purchase the cabinet I will know something about how the newer VPX’s etc work. Right now I am a loss to trying to figure out why I continue to get an script error that says the pin name is incorrect on most of the newer 10.4 tables.

December 19, 2017 at 3:42 pm #71639Yeah. Asking unspecific questions, I can’t do anything else than give you unspecific answers. Details – and we might actually know what your problem is.
Table name is kind of minimal.
