Hi all, can’t thank you enough for the support and creativity this forum provides.

I, unfortunately, am having trouble getting the transparent videos to load. I have tried everything and followed the steps in this post and others, but I have had no luck. My guess is perhaps my TV cannot support it. I have a cheap Hisense Roku 4k tv. I have enabled unlimited range in Nvidia 0-255 and also the resolution section in Nvidia settings (output color format RGB). I looked to see what Roku had for the TV, and I found the Expert settings using the Roku App:

I tried Color Space Native and Auto..but no luck, black is still black. This section is beyond me, but perhaps this TV cannot support it, or maybe there are custom settings in that Expert Picture setting I need to adjust?

The TV I have: Hisense 43R7E 43-inch 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart LED TV HDR (2019)

 

 

***UPDATE***

For anyone maybe with a similar issue and scratching your head for a few weeks, the issue was turning on Transparency in Windows 7. It relates to some Aero and Enabling Transparency.

I went into Personalize and Window Color Sky and selected it, enabled transparency (it may auto-check itself), and all of a sudden it works! The bad tradeoff unfortunately is that Popper is now super laggy. My guess is my CPU maybe cannot handle it.

Note, when the table loads, everything is super smooth, no issues, only Popper is laggy.

I will keep fiddling with it and update again if I have any luck. Maybe there is something else I need to tweak to improve Popper’s performance when Transparency is enabled in Windows 7.

 

**UPDATE #2***

Please ignore all that I wrote :) I will leave the content there in case someone else is searching and thinking the same thing as I did, that windows 7 has some transparency enabling issue and Aero theme etc. It does not, the fact of the matter is for some reason it would randomly work and when it did it stuttered and lagged horribly. So I took the plunge and upgraded from windows 7 to 10. That resolved everything. I have to now reconfigure everything, but no worries, now it appears to load these beautiful t-arc videos and provides a much smoother and cooler touch to the front-end. So well worth it! So if you were like me, and all settings look right and still not working, and you are running Windows 7, sorry to say, the solution is to upgrade to Windows 10. Everything runs smooth.
