After 5 years without virtual pinball this is my current WIP table: Hurricane. A Williams table from 1991.
Although this is for sure not the best table from Williams, for me it’s a fun table. I loved the VP9 build from ICPJuggla, OldSkoolGamer, JimmyFingers and Koadic. OSG offered me the art resources he made about 6 years ago so I decided to re-learn VPX with this build.
Starting point for my build was wrd1972’s Dr. Dude. I love wrd’s table, for me it feels like playing a real pin. This table plus flupper’s Whitewater and Knorr’s and CK’s Star Trek are the main reasons for me to return into the VP world.
Most of the coding part is done. But as you can see a lot stuff is missing, especially at the upper part of the playfield. On the other side I’m proud that I’ve added my first two plastic ramps, made with Blender. Thx to flupper’s awesome tutorial how to create these ramps I was able to build them. But of course I have to learn a lot more at Blender ;-), i.e. I want to make the juggler box as a 3D object, the wire ramps are missing, and so on and so on.
I’ve already added a few GI and flipper color modes. This is the red/blue mode but of course you can play the pin in the “real” mode with the yellow flippers

Nice, ramps turned out great. Once you get the hang of it, wire ramps are typically easier than modelling plastic ones.

I made a juggler 3D box and used the primitive Ferris wheel from Melons Cyclone
if you want my WIP that is fully coded let me know. the only thing that is missing is the GI calls, I have yet to learn how to code or even how they work for this type of table
and with Fluppers tutorial making plastic primitive rams is much easier compared to making wire ramps.
it took me less then 40 minutes to make the plastic ramp for Atlantis (Bally) and a few days to make the wire ramps for that table.

pictures are very helpful, they help to determine where to place objects such as posts
I had access to a Harley Davidson and was able to rebuild a more accurate ramp

I need the plastics to be removed from the table and scanned, building plastics from pictures require to much work to rebuild
and they will never look as good as plastics built from scans.
if you have access to the Ironman, Avatar or 24, take pictures of those machines, I like to rebuild the plastic ramps for those tables
the current ramps for Ironman VPX are no where near accurate to the original machine.

Not done, but it’s coming together. Wire and plastic ramps are added. For the ramps Flupper is my man. He helped me when I was stuck with one of the plastic ramps, and he mailed me a nearly step-by-step guide for the wires. Thanks so much, you’re awesome. As Dark mentioned, when you get into the wire ramps it’s not that much work.

The million sign on the right ramp still needs some love. The decal under the same ramp is missing too. And a lot tiny stuff is missing, screws, posts, some GI, sounds, and so on.

I was about to bump this thread last night to see what the status was. Really glad to hear about the progress. The VP9 version get’s played every time I have the machine on. There’s something about that long loop that is reminiscent of the old school pin games like on randr’s World’s Fair. Very cool. Can’t wait to play this. Thanks Herweh…and all the amazing contributors here.  Every day I log on and learn/see/play something new.

@randr….Ha! I love that game. When people are over seeing my cab for the 1st time I give a quick ‘pball thru the years’ tour using Jigsaw, Humpty Dumpty and Balls a Poppin. And then it’s on to the newer stuff.

I’m excited about this one! I own a Comet and Cyclone and they are great! Prob. will never have the full trilogy so having this on VPX is a real treat!
