When you run a database backup, what exactly is backing up?

backs up the pinupmenu.db file into the pupbackup subfolder (timestamp renamed)
its a small file, so can do it many times easily.
its pretty much the stuff you link/setup in Popper Setup.
doesn’t backup any actual media/table files like that. just popper config.
You can backup/snap your pinup system folder if you want a full Popper backup with media.
