June 1, 2016 at 11:46 am #26527I agree, I referred to them because JPSalas mentioned this site in his Black Knight post on the other site:
<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px; background-color: #bbbbbb;”>”And a special thanks to Classic Playfields for sending us the pictures of the playfields.”</span>

June 1, 2016 at 9:22 pm #26590I’m probably way out of my league here, but what method do you guys use to scan tables? I have a place pretty close to me that has a Fish Tales table. I’m not even sure if they would like me scanning it, but let me know where to start. I may not be able to do it, but I would like to try to do something to contribute.

June 1, 2016 at 9:29 pm #26592this can be done by using a DSLR camera with nice glass (lens) it should be done in 3rds or 4ths with about a 2o% or so overlap… then it can be stitched together by me or any of the other guys with the right software…

…or if anyone is ever located in Brisbane Australia with a playfield, I have access to a 1.2 gigapixel scanning camera and colour corrected art copy stand. I’m itching to try a playfield with this thing…. just imagine a no-stitched, super high resolution, colour accurate, dimensionally accurate playfield scan. Drool! ;)

Bloody hell Rusty ! that is a fair bit of kit. PS. love your photography, as an amateur photo buff I have no end of admiration!
Great community, I really like watching / reading how these new tables come together ( and occasionally fall apart ! :) ) Just wish I had more than admiration, jealousy and amazement to offer back !!
Cheers,
al.
