A few adjustments in the Backdrop , physics, lights and forces of some elements (as almost always when I install a new table) and I have to say thank you very much again because it looks and plays fantastically.

Re-reading now my previous message about the adjustments I usually do in the tables, I think it sounds as if the table was not well, nothing further from reality, the table is magnificently made.
I apologize, I just wanted to clarify that.

Luckily, adjusting layback now takes about 10 seconds in the new camera and light mode, so everyone can have the exact layback that they want.  It’s about as easy as dimming the lights in your living room.

This is a classic table and looks great. For some reason, I can’t get the rom sounds (bells/jingles) to play. I checked the rom and I’m using stk_sprs and this is also listed in the script. I also checked the sound manager in the table and the bells/jingles are there.  I re-downloaded the rom and table to make sure I didn’t mess something up with my settings. Same result.

I checked the vp9 version and the rom sounds play fine with that version of the table, using the same rom in the script. Strange.

Is there something else I can check to get this working?

You could export the sounds you need from the working VP9 and import them over to this version. Also, in sound manager – try switching the sound location.

Weird that they work on VP9 table but not this table.

Are you sure you have Bally Sound Samples in your Samples folder?

are you talking about the melody?

the VP9 table might have this to forced enabled at table load

like the bally match feature and credit display,   you have to enable the melody sounds by pressing F6 and enable them in the dip switch menu

Thanks for the replies. I tried all of the suggestions including deleting nvram for this rom, I selected the melody in the F6 options, I confirmed I have the bally sample sounds in that folder and I imported and moved sounds/locations from the vp9 version.  I also tried this table with vpx 10.4 final and 10.5 beta.

I still cannot hear the melodies or jingles when the table first turns on or during play.

Any other thoughts on what else I can try? All other tables (Bally from this era included) are working on my system and I’m stumped.

Try hitting F1 when table is running to bring up ROM settings menu.

Do you have samples checked? Sounds? What is your Sound Sample Rate in upper right corner? Does it look like mine?
