Thank you for setting this up!  After seeing all these vr room tables come out the past few months I am very interested in giving this a try.  I have so many questions and did not know where to look for answers and how to get started with this!

      • what goggles options are there?
      • can I plug the goggles into my existing cab build?
      • will using the goggles with my cab mess up my video settings for my rig?
      • If I have a decent grasp of setting up a cabinet, installing software, using front end from scratch, how difficult is the transition to vr?

My biggest concern is my cabinet. I am imagining myself wearing the goggles standing at my cab utilizing the buttons and nudge already in there.  The only thing installed on my cab is VPX and Im planning on keeping it that way.  I see that the Oculus Quest with the link cable makes it so you do not need the display port or hdmi port on my graphics card, I was concerned because sometimes my 3 screens reorder if i unplug them.

Im sure I will think of many more questions but thank you in advance!!!

        Hello Everyone!

Ryan from Long Island NY.  I have been learning from you all for just about a year now and only recently had a lot of things “click” in making everything work.  I do not work with computers day to day so this was a bit of a daunting endeavor for myself.  I have come a very long way thanks to all the information on this, and many other sites.  I was fortunate to have started before the demise of MBPC and cannot thank all of you enough for the love and dedication you all pour into this hobby.

My cabinet is a “6 Million Dollar Man” that was in physically great shape, playfield and boards gone.  I am using a Ryzen 7 “PowerPC” tower I keep outside the cab.  40” Samsung 4K playfield, 32” curved monitor for backglass (I was nervous about this but the effect is cool, clear from any angle) 15” bestbuy tv for DMD.  Still lots to add; transducer speakers, bass shaker, nudge, chimes, knocker…  I have plans to clean up the speaker/dmd area with a magnetic frame covered in black cloth similar to 80’s Williams machines.  It’s a project that will hopefully never end.

        Thank you all once again

        Ryan

          Thanks Outhere:

uninstalled what I had, trashed the visual pinball folder and reinstalled only the all in 1 via the link you provided.

          Capersville produced the same error:

          capersvilleerror

Prior to wiping my PC I had 285 tables functioning flawlessly in my cabinet.

          sometimes this hobby is irritating

Thanks for the super fast response!

I wiped my PC with the intent of running in landscape, the mouse is driving me nuts, Ill adapt.  UAC set to off, all antivirus is off and i changed vpx not to run in administrator mode.  Still having the same issue.  Is it possible that when I did a clean install some aspect of windows updated making something not work?  the final straw of redoing my cab setup was an error with the new Addams Family, of which I’m still having:

            AFerror

I think the addams family error is due to updated graphics card drivers?

I was hoping the clean out would have solved that as well.

Thank you for putting this together Terry!

I decided it was time to give pinup popper a try, my cabinet was always set up in portrait mode with monitors in all sorts of red zones so I decided to start fresh.  I wiped my computer with a fresh windows install and followed your video to the tee,  several times, and keep getting the same errors.  Some tables are working flawlessly, some are generating the following errors:

              EDIT!

It was me all along, when I reinstalled windows it “tricked” me into using an online or linked windows install.  I wiped the pc again, against Microsoft’s wishes installed as a local account and everything works flawlessly.  I cannot thank you all for you instant willingness to help.  Amazing community!

It doesn’t seem to matter if it is an EM table or SS.  I thought it might be related to b2s, i tried installing and registering b2s 1.3.0.3 to no avail.

Looking for my problem in forums I did find others having a similar issue that also moved their tables roms and backglasses to an external HD before resetting.  I tried installing a table fresh because of this and encountered the same problem.

              Thank you in advance!

Amazing work on the table!!  I own an original and it plays very similar!  The spinner on this game does not seem to be registering, maybe I missed something.

Thank you for your hard work  :good:

*Edit*  Quickest fix ever!  Excellent excellent work!!!!
