Figured out why the videos were not ‘popping’ up.  I ran the pinupplayerregister.bat from the wrong folder for visual pinball.  That is working now.  Videos look great! 

Still not sure why VPX complains about your custom ROM.  For now, the PUP videos seem short enough to me – not interfering much with gameplay.

  Thanks so much!    This games is really awesome now!!!!!  I hope to work on a pup pack in the near future.

I just installed this pack and am having trouble displaying the videos on the backglass (although the init displays fine).

Some specs:

Running vpx 10.5, with  latest pinup (installed last week), Vpinmame 3.0

PinpuplayerTest: Player PupVideo: response “Seems okay”.  Play VLC: Nothing comes back (Although I tested VLC.exe and plays videos just fine.

PinupPlayerTestPack:  Ran the Init for bdk_294 and it displays the motion background fine.  Ran the trigger 111 (attract) and that displays fine.

 

Not sure if we MUST use your custom bdk_294, but I DO have issues trying to use it (despite allowing for CRC errors & Skip Pinball startup Test).  I get a message, ” Invalid or missing rom bdk_294″.  Using the original ROM plays the game fine.

Hey Terry-

Got this going now    Seems to have been a couple things:

1. Running both DOFLinx & FP as Admin
2. I HAD to rename my version 2.7 (Future Pinball_27.exe) to “Future Pinball.exe”  This despite having the line in DOFLinx.ini:

PROCESSES=Pinball FX3,Pinball FX2,Future Pinball,VPinballX,VPinball994,VPinball995,Future Pinball_27

So a couple of followups here:

1. Is this a limitation we can investigate with DOFLinx?  I really like having multiple versions of Future Pinball!
2. Can you do a video dedicated to PuP videos?  I looked on your channel, but I did not see how to create triggers just for videos (unless it was buried on one of your tutorial videos somewhere).  I certainly see the code to call Pupplayer in Tron Ultimate

and Finally- Thanks so much!!! This is a feature I have been wanting to see for 5+ years now!  As a result, I will have to rebuild my backbox to accomodate a much larger screen (possibly add another screen too)!

I have DOFLinx installed.  But still not seeing the PUP videos.  I am attaching my .ini files and .log files.  Appreciate any help here!

Not seeing any of the Pup videos.  I have Pinup configured and working (got Stranger Things vpx working).  I dont have either a topper or underscreen.  Does it matter what version of the pack I am using?

Does my version of pin2dmd firmware or software matter?  The DMD is displaying just fine (running FP 2.7).  Also grabbed the latest version of DOFLinx script.
