Loading animation for PinballX (when you choose a table) could also be startup animation if you’re into that. Image by hauntfreaks, idea by randr, executed by myself

Thanks guys… finally got this loaded up and it looks great.  Nice work.  Much cooler than the default loading image.

I’m uploading this in portrait orientation for any of those weird folks like me.

If anyone is wondering… you put this in your PinballX>Media>Loading Images folder.  You may have to move your default loading.png to a backup folder or something.

Glad you like it! portrait mode would be great… didn’t know people used that orientation but borgdog(and he is kinda strange fellow) but maybe not as strange as i thought!

I was using it… I think it looks great… I did notice that it seems to slow my loading times down a bit as PBX wants to play the whole video, even if the table is ready to go.  The static image loads faster.  If they both loaded at the same speed for every table, I would love to use this video because it looks really cool.

Should not increase load times at all. Name it loading.gif removing default .gif it only plays as long as it takes to load a table. That’s how it works here. Monster bash animation runs almost 2 times while miss-o it  animation doesn’t even run one loop

Hmm… that’s what I was hoping for.  Maybe I put it in the wrong folder?  I didn’t have a default .gif.

PinballXMediaLoading Images folder is where it should go and inside there should be the generic white letters gif “loading…” remove that one and place this in there as loading.gif

I had in in the right location and also named correctly, but for me it slowed down table loading a lot. I could hear the sounds from the loaded table already and the animation was still playing, 3 loops each time. So I returned to the standard ‘LOADING’ image…

Makes no sense it shouldn’t increase load time. I’ll do a video of mine I wonder if it’s your codecs or something strange like that.

My guess is that it’s a problem with PBX not ending the animation sometimes when the table loading is complete, but that is total speculation on my part.
