So I went ahead and installed Freezy’s dmd, simple because I really like the Mario Andretti table and hated the three extra numbers underneath. So after some messing around I have it up and running, and this my result. My question, is it possible to shorten the the black bars on the side in order to fill the dmd box? Im not sure if im making much sense, but what I want is the the dmd to take up the entire box without the empty space on each side.

February 27, 2019 at 3:33 pm #1156731st you hit F1 and turn off the regular dmd and turn on external…
You have to close and open VP every time you make a change

February 27, 2019 at 3:36 pm #115674I have done all that. That is the external dmd in the picture. For whatever reason, it has those large blank spaces on each side.

Freezy files dmdext-v1.x.x-x86.zip — https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions#features
Download the zip file
An out of this zip file I used – DmdDevice.dll and dmdext.exe – But you may also need the other files if you don’t have them (If your New To Freezy)
If UpDating make a copy of this file —Â DmdDevice.ini
The Files go in the VPinMame folder ( Visual Pinball\VPinMame )
NOTE: When you make changes in The DMDdevice.INI File you must restart VP In order for the changes to take EffectNOTE: If you are using the Pinbally front end you will also need the DmdDevice64.dll file from the 64 bit version of Freezy
New options: Right click Menu and Always display Grip on hover.. (Really convenient for someone that has a 2 screen set up)
In your VPinMame folder run setup.exe change defaults and/or for games you have already run Use F1 during game to change the default for that game
Turn off Show DMD and Turn on external DMD
Put this in your (DmdDevice.ini) file (If it’s not already there) and set it to true or false depending on whether you want to use Alphanumeric features[alphanumeric]

http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/2604-world-poker-tour/?do=findComment&comment=39887To see what name the zip and the bin file should be – Go to your VPinMame Folder Run Setup, Click Test, Fine the Game and Click Check Rom
This is what I use for patching Stern sam color rom —> Â Â http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/4808-vpu-color-rom-patcher/
Most of these Stern sam tables need the Patch –>Â https://www.giantbomb.com/stern-sam-board-system/3015-8231/games/
Another way to patch — https://vpinball.com/wiki/visual-pinball-knowledge-base/rom-patching/
If you change the name of the rom and use DOF..You may have to go to the DOF website and Under table config find the game, Then change the
rom to match the game..http://configtool.vpuniverse.com/login.php

February 28, 2019 at 10:43 am #115767Well now I’m completely lost. I went ahead and made the changes, but now the dmd refuses to save any changes I have made. If I go into the ini files and change them manually it will not change the size. If I use the grip and change, it will not save the changes. I have tried a fresh re install and now nothing is working. I’m hoping that maybe I will have better results on my actual cabinet, but on my test computer, I can not find a solution.

February 28, 2019 at 11:08 am #115776They are all in there. So on my test pc, I only have one monitor, but before I made any changes last night, when I moved the dmd (size and location) the ini file changed. Now it no longer changes. If I make a change manually in the ini, it will not change the length of the dmd. I will shoot a video soon of what Im running into.

February 28, 2019 at 11:48 am #115780On my desktop and cab I have exactly the same items I had you put on yours and on either one of my systems if I make a change in the INI file the DMD changes….
I’ve never had it where you could move the DMD around and the changes went into the InI file

February 28, 2019 at 1:09 pm #115793One more question. I’m probably only going to use this for one more table Shaq Attaq (If it’s ever made). I found a post where you can do individual game settings. My question is, do you put the rom name and then
; x-axis of the window position
left = 0
; y-axis of the window position
top = 0
; width of the dmd in monitor pixels
width = 1024
; height of the dmd in monitor pixels
height = 256This under it (for example)? Also, where do you put the game name and info? Does it matter?
