    So I went ahead and installed Freezy’s dmd, simple because I really like the Mario Andretti table and hated the three extra numbers underneath. So after some messing around I have it up and running, and this my result.  My question, is it possible to shorten the the black bars on the side in order to fill the dmd box?  Im not sure if im making much sense, but what I want is the the dmd to take up the entire box without the empty space on each side.

    Mario Andretti (Gottlieb 1995)

    That’s exactly what I want it to look like!  I have been making adjustments DmdDevice.ini but this is the best I can do.  What am I missing?

    1st you hit F1 and turn off the regular dmd and turn on external…

    You have to close and open VP every time you make a change

    I have done all that.  That is the external dmd in the picture.  For whatever reason, it has those large blank spaces on each side.

    Color Rom set-up — ( Freezy )
    My experience is with Virtual DMD and Pin2dmd

    Latest SAMBuild VPinMame For Color Roms at the bottom of the 1st post -> http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/3651-sambuild32-beta-thread/

    I am currently using freezy files from here 1.7.3
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/nko9dye20s8pvvl/dmdext-1.7.3-MSI-r45-x86-Release.zip?dl=0
    An out of this zip file I used – DmdDevice.dll and dmdext.exe – But you may also need the other files if you don’t have them

    Put this in your (DmdDevice.ini) file and if you want to use the new features set it to true
    [alphanumeric]
    enabled = fales

    (If you have problems with the 1.73 dll try the 1.71 from here –> https://github.com/mjrgh/dmd-extensions/releases
    dmdext-1.7.1-mjr20190309-x86.zip  but this dll is slow to Start color roms)

    Info on new feature and for more info at the top of the page click on this

    In your VPinMame folder run set up change defaults or Use F1 during game to change the default for that game
    Turn off Show DMD and Turn on external DMD

    Why do some colored roms require a patch and others just use the .vni & .pal files?
    http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/2604-world-poker-tour/?do=findComment&comment=39887

    This is what I use for patching Stern sam color rom —>    http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/4808-vpu-color-rom-patcher/
    Stern sam tables that need the Patch –>  https://www.giantbomb.com/stern-sam-board-system/3015-8231/games/
    Another way to patch
    https://vpinball.com/wiki/visual-pinball-knowledge-base/rom-patching/

    If you change the name of the rom and use DOF..
    You may have to go to the DOF website and Under table config find the game,  Then change the rom to match the game..

    Well now I’m completely lost.  I went ahead and made the changes, but now the dmd refuses to save any changes I have made.  If I go into the ini files and change them manually it will not change the size.  If I use the grip and change, it will not save the changes.  I have tried a fresh re install and now nothing is working.  I’m hoping that maybe I will have better results on my actual cabinet, but on my test computer, I can not find a solution.

    You have the files in the VPinMame folder not a sub folder

    They are all in there.  So on my test pc, I only have one monitor, but before I made any changes last night, when I moved the dmd (size and location) the ini file changed.  Now it no longer changes.  If I make a change manually in the ini, it will not change the length of the dmd. I will shoot a video soon of what Im running into.

    On my desktop and cab I have exactly the same items I had you put on yours and on either one of my systems if I make a change in the INI file the DMD changes….

    I’ve never had it where you could move the DMD around and the changes went into the InI file

    Yea, sorry, I misspoke.  When I would make changes they would work with the game.  Now when I make any changes it does nothing.

    One more question.  I’m probably only going to use this for one more table Shaq Attaq (If it’s ever made).  I found a post where you can do individual game settings.  My question is, do you put the rom name and then
    ; x-axis of the window position
    left = 0
    ; y-axis of the window position
    top = 0
    ; width of the dmd in monitor pixels
    width = 1024
    ; height of the dmd in monitor pixels
    height = 256

    This under it (for example)?  Also, where do you put the game name and info?  Does it matter?

    Go here and at the top of the page click where it says frenzy/DMD extensions and in there it will give you an example

    https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions/pull/152

    virtualdmd top = 800
    virtualdmd width = 1024
    virtualdmd height = 256
