https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/t-bar-themes-for-pinup-popper/
Finally…they are here! The new T-BAR themes for Pinup Popper!
Thanks to the flexibility of Pinup Popper, you now have MANY new options for T-BAR themes that combine the beautiful Tarcisio Caleiro wheel BAR, and Pinup Popper’s new Text Zones and 24 bit transparent loading video features!
Features:
– Options 1 2 and 3 for BAR and Text Layout
– T-BAR images with 8 colours to choose from
– T-BAR image options for “no text” (Option 3 only)
– 24 bit Transparent Loading videos that can allow for a seamless transition from the Popper front-end to your game. Very cool! (depends on emulator fullscreen settings)
– “Game Details” that will display all the Popper database information about your game when GameInfo is highlighted
– Popper’s Text Zones feature allows you to display all text for menus the way YOU want. Choose your own fonts, colours, size, position, prefixes, database content, Custom Text… however and wherever you want!
– display flyers above the T-BAR in correct aspect ratio in Popper and in-game!
– T-BAR Themes have options to be used on the Playfield screen in Landscape and Portrait layouts or on the Backglass!
– T-BAR on Playfield Options comes in both 4K and HD setups (for each layout type) complete with matching 4K BAR images and Transparent Loading Videos. T-BAR on Backglass only comes in HD option (1920×1080) with matching HD media.
– includes original T-BAR project files. Make your own T-BAR images and your own Transparent Loading videos and make your friends jealous for having such a cool looking custom front-end like no other!
Text Zones update:
Users can now customize their theme layout for text options in the PUPMenuScriptThemeOptions.txt file. This can be fonts, colours, size, position, prefixes, database content, max characters, Game Details, Custom Text and more… all displayed however and wherever you want! All info can found in this file and it details everything you need to know. Use the included Text Zones pictures for reference.
Thanks:
HUGE thanks goes out to Tarcisio Caleiro for providing the fantastic original ARC and BAR images from which this theme was created from!
Also thanks goes out to Nailbuster for Pinup Popper, and for providing support for my 100’s of JavaScript questions for my Text Zones update.
I hope you enjoy these T-ARC and T-BAR Desktop themes. You can now to make Pinup Popper look the way YOU want. This theme is just a start…make it the way you like it!
Enjoy!

Requirements:
This theme requires Pinup Popper and Pinup Player installed and updated to 1.45 or higher.
http://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=install_guide
http://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=upgrade_v14
Before installing a new theme, you should consider:
– backup pinupmenu pup-pack folder
– backup PUPMenuScriptThemeOptions.txt
– backup your DB file
– backup any media you will be replacing that you don’t want to lose
============================================================
How to Install a Popper theme
Thanks to Nailbuster, there is a new easy way to install themes. This is now the recommended method!
“Easy Theme Installer”
Goto this link at the PuP wiki, and follow the instructions there to both download and install a new Popper theme the easy way.
https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=popper_themes
============================================================
“Old Manual Theme Install Method”
This is the older “manual” way to setup and install a theme.
Please read to first post in this Support Thread to determine which theme zip package you need. You will make your choice based on:
– Theme Options: 1 2 or 3
– BAR displayed on Playfield (most setups), or BAR displayed on Backglass (HD backglass only)
– Layout of your playfield screen: Landscape (most setups) or Portrait
– 4K (3840×2160) or HD (1920×1080) resolution of your playfield screen
PLEASE only download ONE zip theme package as it’s all you need. Don’t download ALL zip files!
Theme package zip contents:
Please follow the included install instructions (the text file) step by step, and also make sure your settings are correct compared to ALL of the included pictures. Do not skip anything! Don’t worry…it’s an easy install.
Please use 7zip to extract files to ensure none of them will get blocked by windows!
Video Walk-through (manual method only!):
Most people seem to have no problems installing the new Themes…but for those who want a video walk-through (of the manual method)… here you go.
(It’s still better to use the new Easy Theme Installer!)
============================================================
Important notes:
As of Popper 1.4, users will no longer make any changes to the PupMenuscript.pup file for their user options! That file will be used only for the main Popper script code and fallback options.
Now there are 3 new separate user files:
PuPMenuScriptSysLanguage.txt (for user custom text for Popper system functions. This can be edited for other languages or anything really)
PUPMenuScriptSysOptions.txt (for global options like enable DMD, enable DOF, enable / disable ALL text, and more)
PUPMenuScriptThemeOptions.txt (new version of this file included with this theme update. This file is where all the theme settings relating to Text Zones and Text settings are kept)
The 3 user files above will not be replaced with future updates to Pinup Popper (after 1.4), so there is no worry about your custom settings being replaced.

March 26, 2019 at 3:10 pm #120088Hello! Thank you for this cool program. I have been following it for some time. I just started to get it all working and after following the instructions and pictures in the zip folder I am getting odd results. Unless I am missing something, the settings I attached below are not producing the correct results as you can see in my screenshot. I tried both vertical and horizontal wheel bar for testing purposes with the same result.
I am using “T-BAR Theme Option 3 (PF, Portrait, 4K)”

Looks like you installed the wrong theme. You need to look the first post again…and compare your windows settings to make sure you use the correct theme zip. You most likely need a landscape install…not a portrait install.

You are right. The names of the themes are a bit deceiving considering a tv that is vertical is considered portrait mode. Thanks for the help! Now that I have the new theme installed the wheel doesn’t seem to be lining up right.

You didn’t follow the instructions completely and missed some settings in one of the pictures (wheel/toolbar settings). Also be sure you installed the correct theme for your playfield TV’s resolution (hd or 4k) as that too will have different settings.
The names for the themes are completely accurate, as Popper needs to be setup based on your playfield screen’s orientation in “Windows”. Popper has no way of knowing how your screen is physically positioned. I also included pictures of what you should see in your windows settings for each theme.

November 3, 2019 at 2:15 pm #149902Hello Terry,
The loading bar looks great, at least in the video,
but on my Windows 7 system, I can’t get it to work.
And that is all because of that damn popup that changes the color scheme to windows 7 basic.
Also I get 2 black bars above and below the loading bar. All because of that color scheme issue I imagine.
Also you see the windows logo in the lower left corner of the screen, so Pinup popper is losing focus somehow,
when I click with my mouse it’s gone.
When I set “disable desktop composition” in the pinupmenu.exe properties, it slows pinup popper down to almost unusable, the popup doesn’t come, but no video is played only a static image of the playfield.
Here’s a video without “desktop composition” enabled :
I hope there’s something that can be done, which doesn’t involve going to Windows 10

I wish I could be more help…but I haven’t used Win 7 since Win 8 came out.
There are specific settings that are required for Win7…like maybe you need Aero enabled, etc?
The black bars in Loading are a result of your TV / GPU or both not running in Full RGB Colour correctly, which is most likely related to your specific problem.

I’m sure I’ve set everything like in the installation documents you provided. My guess it’s all related to the color scheme issue.
Turning “disable desktop composition” on (this turns the aero theme off) screws up pinup popper for some reason.
It becomes very slow and video doesn’t play, pffff. The video is paused/freezed.
I guess vlc player doesn’t like anything other than the aero theme.
Visual pinball always has trouble with the aero theme.

July 2, 2020 at 5:56 am #189492Hi I am using 2K 2560 1440 pf.
Which is the best version to use 4k or hd?

July 9, 2020 at 5:37 pm #190508Same resolution here, 2K -2560×1440….I was able to make it display in Portrait mode, but the wheel and background does not align..see pic…
Is there a place that the wheel logos can be positioned or fine tuned? I look at most config files, but I cant seem to be able to find such a setting….
Any guidance would be appreciated…I have followed all the steps in the install guides…
thanks!

July 9, 2020 at 6:09 pm #190513You need to adjust “Margin in Pixels” in Global Settings-Game/Wheel Toolbar until it lines up correctly.
For 2K, you want to use the 4K theme media, and convert the wheel Bar / Arc images so they are pixel perfect for 1440. So the 1080×2160 T-BAR Option 1 images would be converted to 720×1440
