Good news, bad news, good news
Good news, Wrd brought home a new toy!! Time for a new build.
Bad news, my cab is still down and its put most all my tables I’ve been working on on hold.. (soon to be back in business though and better than ever!!!)
Good news it freed up some time for a playfield redraw. Wrd mostly stripped his playfield and took a TON of pics. I stitched them together best I could.. colors didn’t match up, and some of the stitching was a bit off.. best fix, complete redraw. Its slow going but coming along really well. It won’t be done tomorrow, but I’m an optimistic halfway done… Maybe a month or two left?
I did a scratch build of the table. It’s complete but bare bones ugly.
One thing we could use some help on would be the turtle models. They are way out of my skill range to get looking nice. If anyone wants to offer up their services for those that would be amazing.. otherwise.. ??
Anywho…Â here are a few close up pics to show off my progress on the redraw.

I’m pretty busy these days (so no promises), but get me resources for the turtles and maybe what I can do is make one model then just modify the texture maps to give them different color bandannas.

I will get you some pics when I can. And yes, you can do a single mesh and the features on the textures can be colored different as needed. I will also pull a leg, and the two part arm off so they can be photographed and modeled individual . That way, we can reassemble them… since all four are positioned differently. Thanks for the considering the job. Hope it works out.

More progress. I’m 95% done with the upper half of the playfield. All the big stuff done, just would need to go back through and add in a few details and all the text. I’ve started on the building on the lower halfÂ
  I’ve not started on the turtles yet, but they should be not to bad.  Slow and steady wins the race!!!

Looking very much forward to this, I enjoy that table and it was high time to get a modern VPX take on the turtle models and playfield … The first glimpses of the redrawn playfield are very impressive ! :)You need to login in order to like this post: click here
Thanks everyone, it is definitely coming along… I wish I had a 4k monitor to see how much of the detail actually shows up.. you lose a lot in 1080p.
bord, Hmmm… Meteor….  .. maybe.. down the road.. my eyes will need a break after this one..  8-O  …. but it does fit the theme of tables I like to work on.. Date East or Space related. I have a few tables in the pipeline, but once those are finished up I might be game!!
STAT, pizza night is every Friday night at our house. Come hungry it’s the best pizza in town!!

A little more progress with the redraw. Building on the right done, unless I decide to rework the half-tones (they seem sloppy on the actual table).. Also have a good start on the buildings on the Left.
Wrd has the table and giving it a good once over to get everything aligned and placed properly.
Word from Dark is he has a good start on the turtle models, might have something to show soon..

Slow but good progress this week.. Finished up the building on the left!!!
First pic is what my stitch looks like… some bits are off in the picture, but I have a couple other layers turned off where they line up right.. don’t worry :P
