Baywatch – Sega – Topper – 1280×390 HD – Pack
I recently added an additional HD screen “topper” to my cab, and have been making pinball topper images and videos for some table.
An easy choice was for Baywatch which recently got a full HD upgrade of all season for streaming services. The company that did the HD mastering put all the intros (for all seasons) on YouTube.
I edited together portions of all the intros and eliminated all the ‘dudes’ except ‘The Hoff’ and replaced the removed shots with all the ‘women’ that were key characters throughout the series that were part of the intros … thus making a ‘babe’ version.
I was able to ‘slide’ the footage around to eliminate the actors / actress name title cards.
The topper videos is 1280×360 60fps compressed in MP4.
Baywatch-Topper-AV-1280×390.mp4 = full video with music / audio
Baywatch-Topper-NO-AUDIO-1280×390.mp4 = same video with NO music / audio
Baywatch-Topper-AUDIO.mp3 = mp3 version of intro music / audio
Baywatch-Topper-AUDIO-DELAYED.mp3 = mp3 of music / audio with 1 second delay
Depending on which ‘front-end’ software you are using (for me it is the latest version of PinballX), PinballX doesn’t play and audio that is part of a ‘topper’ video. The only audio it will play with a video is of the main play field video.
The work-around for this is load the Baywatch-Topper-NO-AUDIO-1280×390.mp4 as you ‘Topper’ video and then the mp3 audio as a separate “audio” file in the same Import pulldown, so when you navigate to the Baywatch table, the video will load on the topper and the audio ‘should’ start playing from the mp3 table audio file.
I also noticed that PinballX starts playing the audio BEFORE the video starts, perhaps because the mp3 file is a really small file size, and the video is a significantly bigger file size. The audio was about 1 second earlier than the video because of the ‘load time’.
I included Baywatch-Topper-AUDIO-DELAYED.mp3 that has 1 second delay at the beginning of the audio, so they are then in perfect sync together.
So if you using PinballX, you would use the Baywatch-Topper-NO-AUDIO-1280×390.mp4 file as the ‘Topper’ and then the Baywatch-Topper-AUDIO-DELAYED.mp3 for the “Audio’ and they should both stay in sync together.
