      Hi there.

This is Fernando from Buenos Aires, Argentina, hope everyone is cool.

I’m in the middle of my pinball cabinet construction and I’d like to know experiences about crossfire VGA configuration with Visual Pinball mainly, but also Future Pinball and Pinball FX3.
So I have the opportunity to buy a second-hand XFX R7750 card at a very low price, but, hey I´m investing a lot of money on parts so I wont to pay for something that could have another destination so, they’re worth it?
I was searching on the forum but I can´t find a thread about it.

      My system configuration will be:

-Motherboard Asus A8N32SLI Deluxe (Dual PCI Express x16)
      – AMD Athlon X64 4200+ 2.2 Ghz overclocked to 2.4 Ghz
      -4 Gb of RAM DDR2
      -SSD 240 Gb Kingston
-XFX R7750 (running at 900 Mhz- 1 Gb RAM GDDR5, one for now!)
      – 3 Displays (playfield, Backglass, DMD)
      Windows 7 x64 Pro

      Thanks in advance. :bye:

If you are going to play VPX, then a Intel i3 and a nvidia 750ti is approx the minimum requirements. I don’t know and I don’t care for anything AMD or ATI, so someone else have to analyse your machine, but, I have a feeling that it won’t be able to play VPX decently. FP, no idea. PinballFX, go look at their system requirements page. I’m not so sure that Crossfire will benefit you at all for VP or FP. Might actually do the opposite.

          Thanks for your response.

I’ll testing with kinds of stuff that are actually around my home and if something doesn’t fit well, I’ll analyze to upgrade them.

          The FP website says:

A Pentium / Athlon processor of 1800 Mhz or
greater, 512meg ram and at least a (or better)
Geforce FX / Radeon video card.
          Video Card MUST support shaders.

          and Pinball FX3:

CPU SPEED: Dual Core CPU @ 1.6GHz
          RAM: 4 GB
          OS: Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10
VIDEO CARD: Nvida GTS 450 or AMD equivalent
          PIXEL SHADER: 5.0
          VERTEX SHADER: 5.0
SOUND CARD: DirectX compatible sound card / integrated
          FREE DISK SPACE: 6 GB
          DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 512 MB

But I’m only curious about a crossfire setup because I should buy a second one to test any improvements in that scenario. My actual hardware will be tested in the next few days, so I’ll find out then.
