Last Starfighter – Pup pack/backglass problem

Hey all…

I downloaded ‘The Last Starfighter’ and it’s English Pup Pack, and have a problem with it that totally baffles me.

Basically, it loads and runs fine. However there is a static backglass of The Flintstones that overlays the Pup Pack backglass.

I have tried everything I can think of to figure out where this is coming from. I even moved my entire ‘Tables’ folder off the system, created a new empty Tables folder, and only moved the files necessary to run things back into it. (A list of all the files is shown below for reference.) And the game still has a Flintstones backglass showing!

I’m at a loss where to look next. Any help would be appreciated.

I should also add, if it helps…

When I do an ALT-TAB to switch between windows (Which it how I figured out the Pup Pack was actually present), the window that contains the Flintstones backglass image is named ‘Form1’. And the icon to the left of the window name is a set of colored blocks. See screenshot attached.

I don’t know why people are having this issue… maybe there’s a zip/table release out there that has bad file.

BUT your issue is you have a <blank>.directb2s file.   DELETE IT.

No idea why so many people have a blank flinstones. directb2s…. strange.
