when I cut out the pf holes for the wire triggers and put the primitive hole with the wood grain image, I still see the bottom of the hole and its always grey. I assume that’s the stock color for under the PF. Is there a way to make that black

Yeah you are seeing the background color. If you had an image, it would show the backdrop image. You could change the color to black. Another option would be to add walls under each hole at a -25 height or so and color them black. Another option would be to add a black “floor” to the hole primitive.
