Vpinball status as of 3-26-21

I moved site to a free CLoudflare(100mb upload limit) FOR NOW(temporarily)

I had the Business plan couple years ago but limit was 200mb) WORTHLESS! and EXPENSIVE.

So unless someone can help with bypassing cloudflare on upload submission we will have to deal with 100mb limits until i can stop these attacks without using cloudflare.

I AM NOT PAYING A PENNY MORE TO UPLOAD FILES when my server allows it fine. So anyone have trick to bypassing cloudflare on upload submission page let me know.

I also deleted vpinball facebook page.

Vpinball app is currently “working” but i turned notifications off for now at server level so nobody will get notifications from app.

May take site down again if i see spikes on load so dont be surprised if you see the maintenance page again.

I also turned off projects and wiki for now while testing loads… whole site is stripped down trying to see if anything is cause of higher loads

Pretty upset for you as well. Happened a couple times to me. Why would even anyone target this site. No reason really. I don’t have any suggestions on bypassing the download limit, don’t know what software you are using to run this. Unless it’s xenforo which PN now uses.

You do what you gotta do. We can be patient until you are able to find a solution.

For uploads over 100 MB (which can be most tables by themselves nowadays)… if need be, we can use a link to another share in the meantime.

As an example of a site that became unstable because of spam and attacks is gopinball. Lots of history there… but it gets so much spam posting that it became unusable.

@3rdaxis I can see constant hits to direct download links but i suspect the new firewall may be blocking them as attacks now. monitoring to see how this new software works but so far its blocking 100’s of hits/min directly to downloads which you cant download without being logged in anyways so is very strange
