            Good morning Outhere
I tried “auto” yesterday with no change…
I have the DMDext putting up a non lit DMD… but the moment the game starts it goes completely black and the Alien image from the backbox goes to desktop and if I don’t have leagacy so does the DMD. So to summarize I need the legacy because it puts up the DMD even though it is not lit…
I followed the instructions and put backbox reposition to off and if I put it to on/enabled then then backbox works… I have not tried with the DMD but I guess that it is the same… Maybe I should put the backbox repositioning to on?
Will the frame grab work then? Why are we putting it to reposition off?

              Hi Outhere

Tested your line without legacy (@Nailbuster fixed the dubble — )

              No progress,

I have found the correct virtual size for the DMD. With the legacy option in the script it places a DMD with dark dots (not lit) on the DMD and when the game starts it turns black… and the backbox turns to desktop image. and also I get this error message…

              COM_problem (2)

The DMD and the backbox image works for VPX and Indiana Jones with no problem… This all started when I wanted to use a better DMD for FX3 because I think I had it dubbled, I have followed all instructions in the wiki regarding dmdext…
I have moved the FX3 dmd offscreen it has the exaxt value stated in the instructions and it is borderless window. I have tested with admin on FX3.exe and DMDext.exe but that did not work so I have put them as non admin.

              Any Ideas?

              BR

Found a error in the wiki (I think)

I have highlighted where the space is… Just to avoid confusion…

                  Hi

Tested with out the leagacy… Did not really see any difference?
I get this error window and FX3 hangs until I press yes or no… starts directly after I press yes or no…
need to bring it to front by “Window button tab” to reach it

                  COM_problem

I have half the virtual DMD in the DMD screens top left corner. but stretching out over the whole length…
It lays on top of POPPER DMD at start of popper front end… disappears after a few seconds in to the started frontend
Choosing FX3 and the the DMD and backbox is visable while browsing through the games list…
but both DMD and Backbox dies when FX3 game starts…

                      hi

Im having trubel to get the dmdext to work properly

When I choose FX3 from the popper wheel I get into the FX3 menu and here I can see the backbox image and DMD…
but when I choose ALIENS then when the game starts I loose backbox and DMD to windows desktop instead. Playfield running game as intended.

When testing with the CMD window I get the error on the picture attached. (like below)

                      C:\Pinball\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME>dmdext mirror –source=pinballfx3 –no-virtual

I have the pinup start script i “FX3 script tab”  according to TerryReds instructions (DMDext and FX3.EXE not as admin)

                              Hi guys

Just a warning when updating to 1.4.1

there are two folders one for popper and one for frontend.

i thought both hade updates and of course i reset everything to new install and i had to set everything up again.

summary,  just use the popper update if you are happy with your frontend!

                              Just a heads up ???

                                  Hi Outhere
Been testing back and forth and Im starting to wonder if you don’t have to have the data line going through the channels…

First in to playfield right then to Speaker right  to speaker left to playfield left…

I don’t think that it will accept to have the data line just going in at the beginning of each strip channel…

Please if any one have any experience from this kind of setup… Tell us how you went about it… :-)

My speakers don’t light up at all, I have them like “BottomUpAlternateRightLeft” I did not know what to put there and figured that it would not matter since they would just blink some and it did not matter from what direction in the circle…

Ill try to test around with that and see if I get any change…

Yes I saw now in your cabinet file that you have the same on both sides… I did not think that would work.

Ill definitely try some testing when Ill get home from work…

I was imaging the data feed going in a circle starting at the plunger and going towards the right speaker and through that and over to the left speaker and then down the left side of the playfield… hence the top down on the left side… Wrong?

And they are connected with power, data and ground from front of cabinet towards the back… no connection in the end.
