VR version of the incredible Theatre of Magic by ninuzzu & Tom Tower.
A classic table with great gameplay and enough modes to keep you busy :). This one deserves a theatre like VR Room and I hope you like it.
NOTE: this table seems to suffer a bit from VR conversion. The performance can differ sometimes. To tweak performance in your favour I suggest to disable AWS and keep super sampling to max 1.5 or lower.
Credits go to:
– ninuzzu and Tom Tower for their incredible table
– 3rdaxis for sharing his great VR work and the template for creating a VR Room
– DMD colorization by NetzZWerg (thanks Martin, your the color master)
– Caligula for bringing us VPX VR via VPVR!
Keep a close eye out for more releases, VR is going to be the future of visual pinball :).

January 1, 2020 at 6:47 pm #156534All of your other conversions have run great for me, but this one launches and I see the table briefly but then it kind of fades to gray and gets very trippy. If I move the headset forwards in space it draws over the gray but it eventually fills in. Running the latest VRVR (2019-07-29). Hmm…
EDIT: Could this be because I don’t have the color DMD ROM? For the other VR tables that support color, you can change a variable in the script to use the standard DMD instead. How do you get this one to use plain old orange?

January 2, 2020 at 4:00 am #156566Using a color rom or not should not affect this. The global settings for this table were off…. Make sure everything is set to default.
I expect this one to still have some difficulties in VR. Let’s hope we find the main reason for the performance issues that pup up sometimes.
The link has been updated to version V1.1 with the correct table settings.

January 2, 2020 at 2:08 pm #156644Hi senseless,
great work, again!
One hint: when the DMD says “U22 error”, press F1 and activate “Skip Pinball Startup Test” checkbox.
On your screenshot look the cabrails perfect, on my vr system (rift cv1+VPX10.6.0 Rev 3725 64 bit) are they bent upwarts on both sides.

January 2, 2020 at 2:58 pm #156657Thanks, I know about Skip Pinball Startup Test” checkbox ;). It keeps displaying this, but works anyhow :).
I’m quite puzzled by your screenshot. The original rails should not display.
Try the following:
– Delete elements RailL and RailR
– comment line 266 and 267 out
‘ RailL.visible = DesktopMode
‘ RailR.visible = DesktopModeThis should fix it.

January 2, 2020 at 4:51 pm #156688The 1.1 version now renders fine! Thank you! I also see the floating side rails, but can easily remove them. Again, thanks for these conversions. You made New Year’s Day feel like Christmas all over again.

January 2, 2020 at 5:22 pm #156692I updated the 1.1 version on vpu just to be sure no one else has the issue with the wrong rails displaying.

January 7, 2020 at 3:42 pm #157348Nice! This one wasnt enjoyable w/o a backglass in VR. The “mirror” killed the immersion. Thanks for the work!
I highly recommend to replace the annoying environment emission image on this table (i.e. the one from IJ, but there have been made some other lighting tweaks then).
