This is a VPX conversion/rework of my VP9 table. Updated with rubbers, rolling sounds, etc.
The credit key can be temperamental but that is an issue with the ROM and can’t currently be fixed.
DOF users may experience constant clicking when save gate is opened and is not currently recommended for use on this table.

August 28, 2018 at 12:04 pm #96683POV won’t remove the stripe. I had to move the panel to the left of the backglass view. Simply unchecking it’s visible state didn’t work so I’m guessing the script turns it back on. Once you move it you can alter your POV to increase your X size and position.

I did that, I was just wondering if anyone else did and had a pov that they were willing to share. I’m not crazy about mine atm

August 28, 2018 at 2:41 pm #96713Ahhh and that makes more sense coming from you of all people. Hopefully my response didn’t rub you the wrong way. When I get home from work I’ll post my POV. I’m guessing it’s similar to what you came up with but worth taking a look. I’ve revamped my POV tastes 3 times already this year. EMs are set different than most SS. And then toy-heavy tables like ACDC  gets another POV.

August 28, 2018 at 5:26 pm #96731It’s a widebody table so I don’t think there is a great solution in cabinet mode. I wasn’t really sure what viewpoint people like on these tables so I just added a decal based on the cabinet art. Maybe change the image to something else. If you don’t want it just delete it from the backdrop view and delete line 161 in the script.

this is a wide body table,  why would you wan to stretch and distort your POV view to make it into a regular body table.

August 29, 2018 at 6:11 am #96758Great work on the table , many thanks. Always good to see another rare pin on VPX.
Personal opinion only, I would like to turn down the brightness of the pop bumper lights. Are you able to point me in the right direction, as to how to do this. I just cant seem to locate them within editor.

August 29, 2018 at 6:19 am #96759I can give you the exact light numbers tonight if you can’t find them but if you right click on the bumper, just go through the various lights and find the one that centers on the bumper.

Same here…
I have about 1000 tables running fine except this one, not sure what I am doing wrong. Tried using roms from different sites, deleting the registry, nvram, cfg but no luck. Could never get the VP9 version running either. Anyway looks fantastic, thanks! :)

September 1, 2020 at 5:43 am #199012If you’ve updated PinMAME recently you also need to put the file 20252-01.bin into the ROM. This is a recent change.

September 1, 2020 at 10:00 pm #199111Thanks Adolfo and DarthMarino. Working fine now that I included that file into the rom, never would have thought of that.  Been playing this table for the past hour, very well done! Thanks DarthMarino! :)

September 2, 2020 at 5:35 am #199137Thank you so much for your work! It’s nice to see Atari tables getting some love. As my cab is an original 1978 Space Riders, I dream of one day having this table in VPX. I am also building my cousin’s VPIN which is an Airborne Avenger and he will be happy with your version Â

Nevermind, just figured it out by going here:
