Please try original table from jp and if that works then something got shifted in this modded table. I have a good guess at what it is but cannot say as I don’t have the mod table myself to look at it

Thanks guys. I gave up on the table. It’s too complicated to have to reach my F3 on a regular basis. I really hope this gets fixed in the future. My family is big fans of Star Wars/The Mandalorian. I appreciate the help anyway!

Ok. I notice there are multiple versions. Is there a particular one you suggest for this test? See attached.

I have not tried this MOd but does same thing happen with the original real table from the great jp? original table is RADICAL by Jp
Hey Randr. I don’t have that table. But I did notice this. Apparently I’m not the only one having this little issue. Check out this video someone else posted and you can see the issue in action… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsWcRD3con0&t=71s

Can anyone help me understand why I’m getting this scrambled text? This particular shot says “Ball 2”, but it happens throughout all of the messages.

@playab0yyy: I apologize if you’ve mentioned this before but do you have the same issue if you are running cybernaut, which this is a mod of ?
As well see my question above, what VPM are you running? Finally a lot of these settings for 4-5 for credits use the latest .vbs core files, so to confirm, search your entire hard drive for .vbs and ensure the only place the ones for bally.vbs and core.vbs (and others of the same type) reside is in your script folder. If older versions exist elsewhere then you WILL have problems.
I’ve never had the actual Cybernaut table. And I don’t know what VPM is. I don’t think I have that. I just have Visual Pinball X.

I give up. The table won’t work properly, even with the provided nvram (and read-only). Once credits run out, I still have to hit the aforementioned “coin slot 2 (4 on KB)” to provide a credit, even though the nvram is set to read-only. So this suggested fix may work for some, but it doesn’t work for me. I’m fairly new to this, but up to about 60 tables and this is the first that won’t function properly. Given the known issues, I don’t think the suggested fix is 100%. It might solve the issues for most, but obviously not all. Oh well. Table was pretty cool while it lasted!

the problem is you hit button to insert coin, you hear it make the sounds that it happened but you can’t start the game. You have to use coin slot 2 (4 on KB) to get the coin to actually work. Once the problem starts the only way to stop it is to remove the NVRAM and recopy it to the folder. If you make it read only the corruption of the NVRAM doesn’t happen.
If you have the nvram as read-only, how are you supposed to adjust these options?

it isn’t that is “has” to be set to read only, during the coding stage both of us working on it had the same issues as some of the people on here, including on the untouched original Cybernaut table. So I did some experiments and found that the problem stopped if I made the NVRAM read only. It went from happening every 3 or 4 days to never happening again, so I told people here that fixes the issue, except for the one dude that is still having problems.
What exactly was the issue you guys were experiencing while the nvram was not set to read-only?

Still acting very weird with regards to the display of credits and starting a game after credits have depleted. Using the provided nvram. Just as a side note… how are we supposed to change the “Display credits” option if the nvram is set to read-only? Initially, the “Display credits” option is unchecked and trying to check it doesn’t stick because the nvram is set to read-only. I imagine unchecking read-only, then checking the “Display credits”, then switching it back to read-only would work. Why would the option to display credits be there and so complicated to adjust? Even after this little tidbit, I still have issues after credits run out… I can’t add credits. I have to f3 to start over. Just acting very weird. Not necessarily an issue starting games. Only after credits run out do I have trouble re-starting.

The Loafer, would you mind sending it to me too? I’d like to see if that might fix my issue.

Have you tried using F3 to get it going? My issue mentioned earlier in the comments sounds a bit different, but also around the same area.

Dang. I’m in front of my pc now and grabbed a pic of the exact setting I needed to adjust to get it working. Prior to this, I had the circled setting at Unlimited. Making this one change got it working for me.

Mike, may need to lower your graphics settings. This was the first table that required me to do that to be able to play it (even though I’m still having other issues with it). But as soon as I lowered the graphics settings, it launched fine.

Addestratore, any thoughts on the issue I posted about here in the support topics?

Update to my issue/post above. I may have had the non read-only nvram file previously, however, I’m still having an apparent related issue. Basically, now my start button (instead of the number 4 key) gives me unlimited credits without inserting coins. I’ve tried a thousand (ok, a few hundred lol) combinations. Nvram read-only checked/unchecked. I kinda see how the nvram is affecting the save state. Long story short, nothing is sticking. I’m usually having to hit f3 upon entering the game to have it reflect my coin insertions. But that doesn’t work very long. After coins are depleted, the problem comes back. I’ve tried numerous variations of checking/unchecking the read-only at different times (when there is 1 credit left, when there are zero credits left, before closing the table, after closing, a bunch of different ways). Nothing is working permanently. Feel very close, but no luck in the end. I tried deleting all related files and reinstalling too (twice).

Very new to all of this, but after about 50 tables, this is the first I’m having to hit the number 4 key to get it to give me a credit. I can insert as many coins as I want and hit my start button as many times as I want, but there’s no response until I hit the number 4 key. After doing that, it’ll give me 1 credit. Even if I don’t insert any coins, I can still hit 4 and it’ll give me a credit. After hitting 4 and getting that initial credit, then I can add coins and hit start to gain additional credits, but once everything runs out, I gotta hit 4 again to get the initial credit. I don’t believe I have 4 mapped to anything. What am I missing?

Is it possible to run this table without pinup player on a single screen? I keep getting the attached error. No idea what to do, or if it’s even possible.
