There is a new Unreal 4 OpenSource Pinball Construction Kit
see Video at 7:50
See: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=33736#entry335217
Visual Pinball is still better but Pinball Construction Kit is based on Unreal 4 engine. So do think it could become a better alternative to Visual Pinball?

February 27, 2016 at 8:55 am #13348Try think it would be tough for anything to “beat” vp! Vp is just going to only get better and better and honestly is so great now!

June 13, 2016 at 10:04 pm #30440I’m all for a variety of editors, but the physics as represented in the video don’t hold a candle to VP10’s in my opinion.

June 17, 2016 at 6:14 am #30886If so, it has a LONG road to go. And it has to support DOF.

June 23, 2016 at 11:50 am #32214We saw sooo many editor announcements in the last years. And also quite some that went quite far (and looking awesome). But unfortunately always the old development rule applies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninety-ninety_rule
Thats why we still stick with this stone-old UI in VP, as doing everything again from scratch is a lot of work.

November 5, 2019 at 3:33 pm #150221Bump…
Got bored so decided to give this a shot and make up my own mind. Saw the Japanese video demo this, seems having a flipper rotation at 80 degrees may be a slight problem.
I have a Unity based editor, but that is such a pain in the butt to even use, so if I can get this to work (version 4.11 as opposed to the latest version) see what I think. It’s a new toy after all!
