This is a light fix-up of randr’s Humpty Dumpty backglass image. Just subtle changes, mostly reducing the glare in the logo with some reconstruction, light contrast adjustment and spot touch-ups. I just wanted to lightly clean it up without taking away the aged, vintage look.  I have literally done 1/100th or less of the work than the original backglass by randr, so of course all credit goes to him.  I’m uploading this version at his request.

Thanks, HF. Â Do you have the 2012×2144 image?

Thanks… that screenshot is your original. Â Here’s a screen with the changes in image, logo reconstruction and lighting. Â Lighting should now match the authentic glass except for the knight’s face at the top. Â I left that on because I thought it looked good. Â The original is not lit. Â The dark area in the middle down to the carpet is where Humpty would be falling. Â This screenshot from BG designer is too brightly lit… the actual DB2S looks better, imo.

June 14, 2016 at 10:38 am #30459I think each stage of him falling is slightly different. Â It would be great if we could get clear shots of each stage, or especially of the last stage where he breaks.

June 15, 2016 at 8:44 am #305002.0: Complete re-work! I was not involved in this re-work… it was done by STAT, Hauntfreaks, randr, and HuDu. This version has a new background, and includes falling Humpty Dumpty! Possibility of authentic Humpty images coming in the future.
Looks awesome guys! Â Â

June 15, 2016 at 9:27 am #30506So we all now have, thanks to randr and everyone involved in this project, a working, historical 1947 table in VPX… the first to feature flippers… complete with an animated backglass. Â That is pretty amazing!
Chances are, most of us will never even see this table… but we can play it and see what it would have been like to play a pinball game in an old diner or saloon in post WWII days.
