Hey just getting around to checking this out. The trough isn’t set up correctly. It’s the same as SMB in principle, one switch in the last position, but there needs to be 4 trough slots because this one is a 4 ball game.
This has two switches. Â 4 balls are installed. Â I don’t recall how I figured out how to implement the trough. Â I do know that it tested out and everything is functioning correctly. Â Do you have any documentation indicating what I have is wrong? Â I seem to recall testing with 4 slots threw a missing ball error.

January 20, 2017 at 3:31 pm #46200You might be right, I don’t have a manual. But something’s definitely wrong with the 4 ball multiball, it starts when the third ball is kicked out and ends early with an extra ball in play. Having a fourth trough slot fixes the issue but limits the game to 3 balls in play max.

January 20, 2017 at 11:01 pm #46239There isn’t a 4-ball multi-ball on this table. Â I’ve never seen 4 balls on the table at the same time and I’ve never seen the multi-ball end early. Â What specifically are you seeing?

January 21, 2017 at 11:10 am #46255Every Tee’d Off I’ve played is three ball for both of those. Â In addition, every rule sheet I’ve read says 3. Â Do you have a reference indicating those are both 4 ball?
Does anyone have a manual I could use to make sure this is right?

January 21, 2017 at 12:29 pm #46256I’m confident I have this right. Â I setup a four slot trough and on table load I get a “1” ball is missing warning. Â It needs to have 4 balls, three in the trough and one in the outhole.

January 21, 2017 at 2:05 pm #46257I think you’re right. Okay I think this fixed the issue I was having: the trough coil separates first ball and tips the rest back across the trough switch, so the programming can tell when the trough is semi-full.

February 2, 2017 at 7:03 pm #46949Very fun table. I have a lot more respect for it now that I know it came several years before NGG.
I assume the GOPHER spin was a complete pain?

I wouldn’t say it was a complete pain. Â It was the first component I built on the table and I went through several iterations. Â My first solution worked very nicely, but it was a performance hog, so each additional iteration was performance tuning. Â For me, it was one of the most enjoyable challenges of building the table.

February 3, 2017 at 12:51 am #46957Wow. That’s cool. I just don’t seem to have the mentality that it requires to solve these types of issues. Many of you guys look it as a challenge that you need creative ways to solve and for me it usually results in an excuse to punch my monitor.

In general, I find this table to be very challenging for high scores. Â I felt the old physics were too challenging …
With the new physics, my average score has increased considerably. Â However, I have yet to top my best (2.5B).
