The game of the week for December 2-8 is Tee’d Off (Gottlieb 1993). It was selected by NetrangerPA, who won last week’s Game of the Week.
To keep the “playfield even” for people with different amounts of time to play, there is a 50 game per week limit.

Damn it! I was so excited to post my score after 12 games, which I thought would carry me for at least a while! 383M on Tee’d Off is respectable.

OK… I was playing vigorously, and was learning a lot about how to play Tee’d Off, but I regret that I discovered an exploit in how to beat this version that was unintended in the original table. I won’t spoil the GOTW for others, but it is only fair that I opt out. I will explain later, if anyone is interested! Here’s a score of mine, without really trying :

Ah. Teed’ off. Last time we played it, I had DMD issues. If I don’t leave to Trondheim and a pin tourney, I will definitely give it some love in the upcoming weekend.

Yes. Here are some tips.
- Pitch n Putt can produce huge scores. Once the mode starts, hit the captive ball. Bonus multiplies quickly. I’ve had it up to 200M. Every time you hit the right kicker, mean hole green, or trigger above the small flipper, bonus is collected. Continually hitting the pitch n putt ramp and points rack up quickly. I had a 2B first ball only to lose it on the SKINS game.
- SKINS game. Win and double your score. Lose, and lose it all. You can shot the dog leg to restore your score if you can hit it before you drain.
- Tee’d Off can score you 200-300 million if you clear the two drop targets around the center kicker and repeatedly hit that shot.
- Multi ball, complete all the Jackpots for a 300 million award. Can be scored multiple times. Hit the captive ball to increase the Jackpot.
- Raining Cats and Dogs or Anything Goes scores 25M or 50M per shot. Points rack up quickly.
- 6 holes in one score an extra ball. 8 and you can choose lightning storm (Raining Cats and Dogs).

I stalled out at 471,xxx,xxx tonight. Not gonna get much higher I’m afraid.
Gotta say this plays closer to its real world counterpart than almost any other VPX I’ve played. Congrats on making a VPX game as difficult as real pinball. Not an easy feat.
