A conversion of the Rosve VP9 or VP921? version of Captain Fantastic to VPX
This table was authored in the 10.5 beta cycle so use the latest beta available – (Not sure if it works well with 10.4).
This game started as a quick conversion but ended up needing a fair amount of work to the script to mirror what I think are pretty accurate
rules. There are some table options at the top of the script that control some visual parameters including the dimming of GI when flippers are
pressed, a loose plastic on the left slingshot and a flickering light under the right plastic. A 3 or 5 ball game can also be set via the script in the
same area.
Use the left magnasave button to expand the game instructions via an animated fly out.
Many thanks to STAT for writing a new scoring routine in the VP9 version which cut down on some work and also to DJRob for helping
me with the technique to split an integer into a string for the hi score reels on the cabinet view apron.
This was the 2nd pinball machine I played when my local shop swapped out Aladdin’s Castle and installed this in it’s place.

:) – I would love to go along the time line and do them all if time allowed. I think from memory the next one they installed after this was Playboy (Bally) and then Kiss (Bally). There are nice versions of those games already but I remember they also had a “Harlem Globetrotters” which I don’t think there is a VPX version of yet so maybe that one next.

Only 3 games in. But, wanted to come back to tell you that I really like the work you’ve done Dozer. There are more than a few EMs where I feel the bounce isn’t strong enough. I haven’t played this in real life so I don’t know and I will look it up. But, first impressions is that I will not change anything in that area. I also want to say. Your SSF is excellent !

Got some more blackness / contrast with setting the three “lightning / ambient” settings from 25 to 0.

Instant love. The look, the lighting, the physics, the pov. Everything is spot on.
And in my opinion one of the most beautiful artwork in a pinball table ever.

Need a little help here. Love your table. Great jog! On my pinball cabinet I don’t have magnasave buttons just the left and right flippers. Maybe next cabinet. So how can I stop the instruction card coming up every time I hit the left flipper button. Will go away when I hit it again only to come back when I hit the left flipper button again. Any help here would be much appreciated. I’m learning only been at this for a year. Thanks.
