Do you know which plugins and how many there should be?
When you get it figured out, I’d greatly appreciate it if you’d share so I can get mine fixed, too. :)
Thanks Terry,

August 13, 2017 at 12:08 pm in reply to: Followed advice, purchased cabinet, now need your help loading tables #60602Terry,
I turned Vsync off in FP and on in the Nvidia control panel.
I went to The Walking Dead table, if that matters, and pressed Q, went to config, addons, and didn’t see anything like what you’re talking about. There was no SSAO there. Is it only on some tables?
It’s just not there on that table…

August 13, 2017 at 6:20 am in reply to: Followed advice, purchased cabinet, now need your help loading tables #60594I’ve tried a few other tables and they seem to be working better. I will look and see if I can find that setting in BAM. Do I have to do it for each table, individually, or can I set it once and forget it? I do it by pressing Q inside a table, right? Then look for it from there??

You’re absolutely right. That’s a good tip and I’ll use it.
Thanks!

August 12, 2017 at 12:30 am in reply to: Followed advice, purchased cabinet, now need your help loading tables #60496I will try those two things, Terry.
I have a Geforce GTX960 Video Card. Not the newest version, but still pretty darn good isn’t it, for what it’s needed for?

I downloaded a table called Batman, a vpt table, and played it and it had the same sticky flippers. I exited and played it again and the sticky flippers problem went away. Could it be some tables just mess up on the first play? This is just one example, so I don’t know if that will fix it on all of them or not but I did notice it on Batman.

I have tried some older EM tables that don’t have DOF (At least I guess not as no force feedback or lighting works) and they all seem to work fine.
My path is program files (x86)\visual pinball\tables for the tables folder.

Yes, it means VP9, btw.

Yes I did. I used the all-in-one installer, I believe it was the version 10.3. I can look up the exact link if you need it.

August 11, 2017 at 3:25 pm in reply to: PinballX doesn't come back into focus when quitting table #60462Ok, I’ll take your advice.
My biggest problem right now is that Visual Pinball tables have sticky flippers. There are more VP tables than anything else loaded on the cabinet now and those are the main ones I’d like to enjoy. I think a lot of people agree out of the three systems I have loaded, FP, FX2, and VP, that VP is the best and most fun so I’d like to focus on that.
Should I start a new thread for this?
I don’t know where to begin. I was given a little bit of advice and followed that, making sure VP was set to run as Admin and making sure the correct VP.exe file was used for the related tables and still have sticky flippers.
If I could get rid of this problem I could enjoy the cabinet for a bit. :)

August 11, 2017 at 3:06 pm in reply to: PinballX doesn't come back into focus when quitting table #60458I was told by folks on this forum before placing my order that I would learn a lot and it would be a lot of work. Both things have turned out to be 100% true. :)

August 11, 2017 at 3:03 pm in reply to: PinballX doesn't come back into focus when quitting table #60457Thanks for the advice. You’re right, I haven’t really played much yet, although I have played a little, because I’ve been trying to get everything working.
The only thing that is really set up on the cabinet is Visual Pinball and when I try to play those tables I have sticky flippers so they aren’t really playable.
I just got DofLinx set up and working and everything seems to be working with the Pinball FX2 tables, but those aren’t nearly as fun IMHO as Visual Pinball.
I’m not new to all this, as I’ve had the desktop versions and have been playing them for several months. I’m just new to having a cabinet.
If I can get the Future Pinball tables to not lose focus when exiting and if I can get the Visual Pinball tables to not have sticky flippers, I’ll be good to go for a while and will enjoy playing the games.
I just feel I have a few more bugs to iron out before I can truly enjoy everything.
This is most definitely not a plug n play purchase and there is a lot of work I’ve already done and to be done, so anyone considering buying a cabinet from VPCabs needs to know it’s not ready to go out of the box and will require a lot of work.
Thanks for your input,
–J

August 11, 2017 at 2:42 pm in reply to: PinballX doesn't come back into focus when quitting table #60453August 11, 2017 at 2:37 pm in reply to: PinballX doesn't come back into focus when quitting table #60451I just downloaded the SlamTilt 2.7 physics. Another forum member mentioned that should speed things up. I’m just getting ready to test it.
The bigger problem now is that when I exit the table, PinballX doesn’t come back into focus. I have to alt-tab to get back to it because the desktop is showing.
I’d appreciate any suggestions on this as it’s quite frustrating to have to get out a keyboard on a cabinet like this. :)
Thanks,
–J

August 11, 2017 at 2:24 pm in reply to: PinballX doesn't come back into focus when quitting table #60448What about PinballX not coming back into focus? It just shows the desktop when I quit the table??

August 11, 2017 at 2:23 pm in reply to: PinballX doesn't come back into focus when quitting table #60447I have the desktop version, though, and it isn’t like that. It isn’t like Visual Pinball, but it isn’t this slow and laggy. Why would the cabinet version be more slow and more laggy? You’re saying I can’t fix it or do any better??

August 11, 2017 at 8:22 am in reply to: Followed advice, purchased cabinet, now need your help loading tables #60433Ok, thanks to DDH69’s help on another forum I have made some progress.
Bubble Bobble – Future Pinball is working all except one thing. The strobe lights keep strobing during the whole game. But at least everything else works!! Great progress.
However, unrelated to DofLinx is that Bubble Bobble (my first and only Future Pinball table right now) is slow and laggy so it isn’t really playable. I don’t know what to do about this, either.

August 11, 2017 at 6:44 am in reply to: Followed advice, purchased cabinet, now need your help loading tables #60425Well, I’m at a loss. I have followed the DofLinx guide to the “T” and have tried Future Pinball and Pinball FX2 and am not getting any feedback or lighting on either one. DofLinx is running and everything is configured so I am at a total loss here. I could really use some help. This is so frustrating.
