      For me there is no change.

      Seems like you have around 3 seconds for the worst case so it is faster than for me, I have about 5 seconds for the worst case.

      Assuming you have low network latency, I guess of my 5 seconds 3 seconds are due to server side processing (CPU) and 2 seconds are due to network latency.

        I’m still getting around 5-8 seconds to load. I think it would be helpful if someone closer to the server could confirm if they get the same speed. To test in chrome, just hit F12 in windows, or alt+cmd+i on mac. This should show the developer tools pane. Then select the Network tab at the top. Then reload the page (F5 in windows, ctrl+r on mac). After that you can sort by the time column by clicking it. I get 5.14 seconds at the top of the list followed by some entries with around 2-3 seconds.

          @DJRobX I have a macbook pro retina display but I’m not seeing the oversize header, do you do anything special to make it happen?

            In the pictures it looks like you have a lot of buttons under the cabinet. Do they all have functions assigned or is it just to future proof?

              Here is a screenshot of a typical page load for me. Seems like what is taking time is the main HTML page:

                If there is a feature to output the amount of time it took for the code to render the page then that may be helpful in determining if the delay is caused by code or network. I’ve seen such a feature in some other forum systems, it outputs something like “Time to render page 0.05 seconds” at the ver bottom of every page in very small font. If it is a network problem I guess it is not that serious because then it does not affect all users, but yes a CDN would be nice :-).

                EDIT: Did some benchmarking in Chrome Dev Tools with caching enabled. Loading a thread takes about 4-8 seconds for me.

                  Not sure if this is the right place to discuss this but the site loads slowly for me. Not that I am complaining or anything, it is still a great site, just wish it would load a little bit faster :-). I’m a software developer doing mostly web development so let me know if I can do anything to help out (although I do mostly JS and C# and I guess this is built in PHP?). My guess is that either the pages render slowly because the scripts take some time to run, or it is just latency because I’m in Sweden and the server is in the US.

                    @randr, thanks :-)

                    @Thalamus
                    , This model is just to replicate a regular WPC cabinet. I’m working on the adjustments to make for my virtual cabinet now using this model as a starting point. Once I finish the modified model for the virtual cab I’ll share it too. Good point about the buttons, I’m just starting to research how many buttons I will need so your information is very useful.

                      Did you put any glass in front of the backbox monitor? Looks like it shouldn’nt be needed in the build pictures.

                        And one more question :-). Did you make the cabinet according to the standard length or is it shorter to better fit the playfield screen?

                          Really nice! Looks like that 43″ screen fits perfectly in a standard body without doing any routing. What is the make and model of the playfield screen?

                          EDIT: Looking closer at the pictures now I see there are grooves routed for the playfield monitor (just checked in my mobile before). Still interested in the model and the decased width though. Also at what angle did you do the grooves and why did you choose that angle?
