This is how I create a new table design, no matter if it is an virtual or a real machine it always starts with lots of lose ideas scribbled on to paper.
This idea scribbling stage will probably go on for another week.

.Hidden=0 only works for VPinMame tables. It’s a bit more complicated on an original script based table. It involves rotating the scorereels on the backdrop and making changes to the score display code. I am not going to reprogram the table for this special setup.

A bug is found, here is a quick fix.
Find line 2587 and 2601 in the script, on these lines change ”MissionWall22” to ”Light53”.
I’m pretty sure that coding was working when I made it but it seems not to after updating to the latest vpx beta.
I will go through the script and see if there are any more of these bugs then upload a new version of the table.

@vogliadicane I used 2001. But my DOF setup is kind of different and probably will not look good on your cab so you should really set it up for yourself.

Unfortunately the download page has the wrong name. U-FOE should be U-FOES and I don’t know how to correct it. Maybe a moderator could fix this ?

the table rom name is U-FOES , it’s not in the DOF tool. I just select another table that I don’t have on my cab and use thar to set up the dof. Then manually change that rom name in the downloaded dofcontrol file to U-FOES

@adolfo, if you run the table in DT mode it will only show the scoring on the table backdrop.
if you run in FS mode the scoring will be sent to the b2s backglass.

The table is actually named U-FOES, misspelled it by mistake when uploading.

Beautiful original table.
just a quick question, is there any way to put a little DMD on the table?
Thanks in advance for your responseThe easiest way is to start in desktop mode and then adjust your POV to what you like, or copy the FUllscreen pov to Desktop. Then adjust the leddisp reels on the backdrop.

The table is pretty much finished now, only missing a few sound effects and a plunger image.
only waiting for feedback from the play testers before I release it.

What is this ? Two moderators of this site hi-jacking my wip thread and starts discussing another pinball machine!!! ?
Here is the last track that I will post here, need to keep the rest a secret until the table is released ?.

I would be very happy if people like the music, it’s probably more important to me than if the like the actual table ?
I don’t know what TNA is but I guess it’s a positive thing to be compared to it ?
the risk right now with this table build is that I get too much musical inspiration and just stay in my studio and forget about VIsual Pinball again ?
Here is another track I made for the table:

@Herweh yeah, I have those function already. Problem is they don’t work well with DOF on my cab. The DOF settings in vpx preferences are too limited for what I need, thats why I have to make special sfx/DOF selection in the script (like in skyrocket).
thats why I will make my own version first and the let someone who can actually test it set up the SSF sounds.

@Thalamus , lets do it this way: I’ll finish the table my way complete with B2S and DOF but with simple PlaySounds that works with my ”halfway DOF-ed” cabinet. Then I’ll let you do your SSF magic on it before the public release.

Yes, I am know of the PlaySound parameters but it’s difficult to use them with only stereo speakers.
Perhaps someone with good knowledge in SSF setups could take a look at my table when I’m done and make the needed sound adjustments.

Today I had to make a major design desicion, how to present the score.
My first option was to create my own dmd solution ( expanding on what I did for my Space 1999 table many years ago). Thought hard about it and realized it’s too much work for me right now.
The next option was to use UltraDMD instead. I have it working in the table but I don’t really like it that much and I understand that many users have some trouble with it.
So, my final desicion is to dust of my old segmented display code that I used in some of the VP9 originals that I made. Mainly because I like segmented displays but also because it works with no issues for both desktop users and with b2s for cabinet users. And perhaps someone like the table enough to eventually mod it for PUP.
The table is completed in regards of gameplay. What s left to do is the score display and sound effects\ music.

1 user thanked author for this post.
Thanks Herweh,
this is one of my favourite Bally pinball machines. I will try it out as soon as I get my PC back in my cab (when I’m done building my u-foes table ?)
