Hi all,
Thought I would share my pinball project with you…after owning an Addams Family over 15 years ago and selling for a family holiday!(mistake) – I set upon owning another, however with rising costs I couldn’t afford one :(. After building a MAME cab I discovered visual pinball and the amazing projects everyone around the globe has been making…so I set upon making mine.
With no real wood working skills, I knew it would be a challenge however after 4 months of painstaking work and a little bit of love…I would like to share my build…thanks to everyone in the community for inspiration and sharing their problems and resolutions and the amazing Zebs Boards…who without his DOF kit the machine just wouldn’t come to life.
A high end PC, with a 42″ Samsung play field, 32″ Toshiba backglass and an old 15″ lcd computer monitor. Logitech PC sound system with sub woofer (more than loud enough) Full toys – 10 24v contactors, knocker, shaker & gear motor, digital plunger, launch ball button, start / coin buttons, flipper buttons with leaf switches , 5 rgb flashers with 2 strobes – all run by Pacled64 virtual output board and Pacled64. All put in an MDF case (Williams wide body – adjusted to fit tv, real pinball legs, rails, coin door and custom lockdown bar provided by Virtuapin and topped off with a piece of custom toughened glass and undercab led lights
Total project cost £2.5k ($4k)

No woodworking skills? looks GREAT!
DOf is a must have and looks like you have nearly everything.
Coin door wired up? So nice to open coin door and press service buttons like a real machine.

Thanks, much appreciated. Honest, never used a router or anything….you tube and patience….the graphics cover up the rough edges! ;)
Yes the coin door is…makes it feel great accessing the menus etc…just had to adapt using other buttons rather than the normal coin door buttons.
