Thanks for the updates, I love this table and the cartoon version featuring the real, original Flintstones gang.

May 13, 2020 at 2:02 pm #179924Looks very nice with that cartoon picture in the middle.
Can i ask something though, every time the ‘machine’ is active i get this really terrible lag.
My system gets in a sort of shock, lighting is calculating or something, i lose the ball/multiball. Now as sort of a solution i turned the machine off in the script. If anyone has a better solution, i’m all for that of course. My cabinet is running Windows7, intel i5, 16GB, a SSD and a Radeon 8GB, so i feel very sad about this lag stuff. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
May 13, 2020 at 2:16 pm #179929what is the clock speed of your i5 processor, are you running a 4K or HD playfield? What are your VP video preferences set to? (include screenshot)

Try disabling Ambient Occlusion. No need for it on tables of this caliber, it’s already been baked in. And also maybe un-check Texture compression. When the machine runs it is swapping out dozens of textures on the fly. And if none of this works the Radeon R9 390 8GB may be your bottleneck. It’s only equivalent to a 1060 3GB. Running three monitors on that GPU is a bit of a stretch with a 4k table. There may be a setting in the Radeon tuning options to boost it’s performance. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh2-020#faq-Accessing-Performance-Tuning-Options

May 14, 2020 at 8:45 am #180081@newjersey Aside from what master 3rdaxis is saying, I’m a big believer in using “force exclusive fullscreen”, less lag and better performance. If you end up getting the DDRAW error, following this:

I don’t know if Exclusive fullscreen will be good for your GPU but give it a whirl, nothing to lose. Incidentally, your Video preference screen has some differences to mine. What version of VP are you on?

That is version 10.6 final (rev 3788)
It’s okay i just unchecked a few things in the options, it’s working fine now.
Thanks. You need to login in order to like this post: click here

Thanks, i unchecked the ambient occlusion and the texture compression.
Now even that super heavy table (new GoldenEye) is opening/loading way faster on HyperPin.You need to login in order to like this post: click here

I just checked and I’m also on rev 3788 and I dont see “less compatible” beside “force exclusive fullscreen”. It’s no big deal but this is rather odd!

Just one thought : the ZIP file mentioned, with backglasses and ROM color file isn’t in the archive.
I tried to download the previous version but the page redirects to this one.
Thanks and have a nice day ;)
