Okay so I am following the PinUp System start up guide (https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=install_guide), and I found I cannot get some of the needed files since they are listed on VP Universe, and that site has been down. I am very new to this, and am just trying to get VPX up and running with everything working.
The files I need are:
VPinMAME, SAMBuild – Beta Update. This is required for colour rom support on certain VPX tables.
Current Version: 3.3 Beta
Download from:http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/4278-sambuild33-beta-thread/
Does anyone know of an alternate source to get this download?

I suggest searching the downloads on this site and on vpforums.com for any other files you may need.

February 3, 2020 at 9:05 pm #161714I had already checked the downloads here and saw the v-pinmame 3.0 download. I also had already checked vpforums and found they have v-pinmame 3.2. Neither of these though say they are the SAMBuild. And of course the guide specifically calls for 3.3.
Anyone know what the SAMBuild is? I don’t know what version of this software came with my VPX 10.6 all-in-one download (I got it from here, its the latest download for it). I see lots of guides for this, but there isn’t a suitable explanation for what would be acceptable alternatives.
Again I am looking specifically for the 3.3 SAMSBuild. Is VPUniverse going to be coming back up soon?

February 3, 2020 at 9:46 pm #161716I happen to have a recent version of SAMBuild on my gdrive since it’s needed for High Roller Casino. You can just replace the vpinmame.dll from the official build with this one.

SAMBuild has color ROMs enabled. It also is newer than the official builds (the VPM team doesn’t bother building betas frequently since people tend to just grab SAMBuild anyway). There is no downside to using sambuild instead of official. The current SAMBuild is very stable, no risky changes have been implemented recently.
