Thanks for the suggestion, Thalamus. But it wasn’t that simple. Even if I selected the Plunger object specifically via the selector dropdown list, I was still seeing the following message repeated over and over in the Properties window: “The current selection contains multiple object types. Select either a single object or a group of objects of the same type to edit properties.”
Turns out that the Plunger was part of a defined collection named Posts. No idea why. So I temporarily removed the Plunger from the collection via the Collection Manager, made the desired property changes, and added it back into the collection. Not sure why it’s there, but didn’t want to break anything.

This table looks amazing. Thanks to all involved. I have one question though… I was attempting to edit the plunger on the table and can’t update the object properties. Looks like it is grouped with multiple other objects on the table…that are not plungers. So, properties cannot be displayed or edited. I’ve never seen this before. Any explanation or suggestions for getting to the plunger physics options?

here’s the thing….. i know how to use it, but I’m sure not the one to explain how to use it… what it does is lets you use an external dmd driver… and you have much more control over the dmd settings and position in an ini file it also lets you use color dmd files… someone with more knowledge on this chime in please…
I found and did a little research on Freezy’s DMD DLL. And in doing so, I realized that the latest VPinMAME appears to include an external DMD DLL (DmdDevice.dll) and supporting files. Not sure if it’s actually Freezy’s version, but it appears to be very similar. Anyway…I found a solution to my issue. Editing the “DmdDevice.ini” file, opening the table options in VPX via F1, unselecting the “Show DMD/Display window” checkbox, and selecting the “Use external DMD (dll)” checkbox did the trick.Â
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and help!

are you using freezy’s DLL for the dmd??
Not sure I follow. Is freezy’s DLL just for the DMD for this table? Or does it affect all tables? And can you point me to some info?

I don’t own a cab, but I have seen gtxjoe talk about this I think. If it is working without PBX Try disabling these settings in PBX under Display Settings. Auto position B2S Auto position DMD Hide PinMAME Use PinMame in front end
Nope. Thanks for the suggestions, but tried all that. No luck. Really frustrating…

Ok. I’m out of ideas here. What am I missing? I am running a 3-screen setup on my in-progress cab. When I open and run this table via VP directly everything works great. But if I start it from Pinballx, more often than not the DMD is positioned in the upper-center of my 2nd/backglass monitor. I have tried every combination of settings between VP and Pinballx I can find and have used the SetDMD tool to try to persist the DMD position for all my roms. But I can’t stop this from happening. It seems to happen with just about all of the more recent Stern tables. As far as I know, I am running the latest and greatest versions of just about everything. Windows 10 and everything pinball-related is running as Admin. Any suggestions or tricks I may have missed? This is super annoying…

September 21, 2017 at 9:12 pm in reply to: Star Wars – Empire Strikes Back, The (Hankin 1980) Sound Mod v1.2 #64315This table can have a mind of its own sometimes. I wrote script to change coin insert to key 5. I think it will only let 5 be the insert coin key. You can either delete Line 13 in the table script, or use the 5 key to insert coin. Also you can hit F6 when table is loaded for more rom options. I think default is 5 credit max. Also try restarting table as sometimes tables can have weird behaviour when first played on system, and they will tend to not run correctly. Let me know if this is working for you.
Thanks xenonph. Commenting out that line in the script did the trick!

Pressing any of the coin buttons does nothing. The resulting sound clips are played but no credits are added. Am I missing something?
