Thanks for the new table, Walamab. Â I’m getting ready to test it out but it seems like maybe the coin keys are hard coded in the script somewhere? Â … or maybe I have some other problem on my end. Â I’m getting the coin clicks when I hit my flipper buttons.

Sorry everyone but appears proper permission to mod the vp9 version to vp10 was not given so I have removed download. Maybe he can get proper permission as table looked nice! Again sorry about that

My sincerest apologies to the VP9 authors. Being new to this stuff I didn’t realize I was screwing up. I see now that ICPJuggla, Cosmic80 and Herweh are listed in the header of the script.

So the coin key presses are hard coded to 4, 5, and 6. Look for …Â Sub Whirlwind_KeyDown(keycode).. you will see and Else If statement that lists 4, 5, and 6 with the “knocker” playsound command. just change these numbers to the keys that need to handle the coin in on your setup. I couldn’t get it to work on my development machine with out hard coding it.

Hey walamab… thanks for the info on the keys. Â With the crediting of authors, it’s kind of an etiquette thing to make sure you find out who made the tables you are getting resources from and make sure you credit them in the release. Â Some authors can get pretty offended if you don’t do that. Â I understand that you didn’t know, and I’m just giving you this info because I know you probably don’t want that to happen again. Â You will also want to try to find out if that author requires permission to post a modded table, or a table using their resources. Â You can generally find this at VPF on the download page for the table. Â Some authors do not require permission and some do. Â As long as you go through the steps, it’s generally not a problem to get permission to mod. Â I’m sure your apology will go a long way too.

@dodger you can always pm walamab for the table but to officially release you must have permission if resources are used from another build.
I will say Walamab had a great response here about this issue and looking forward to your next build! keep up the great work!

So, when the authors are cool with it, the table will come alive again?
Hopefully, the original author will consider working with walamab so that the permissions and credits issue can get ironed out. Â I’m guessing walamab will probably contact him to try to make that happen.

For those PMing me for a copy of the table. I appreciate your interest and would love to provide it. However I think it best to do nothing until Things are ironed out (or not) with the original authors. I intend to abide by and comply with their decision. I have made contact with them but will not put pressure one way or another on their decision. I’m sorry that I created this situation unintentionally or not. It is more important to me to do the right thing than have another published table.
Also, I would request that the community not push the original authors one way or another. Let them make the decision.

So here’s an update…ICPjuggla, Cosmic80 and Herweh (the developers of the VP9 version of Whirlwind whose graphics and concepts are used throughout the VPX version) have graciously offered me a second chance and granted permission for use of their resources in the VPX mod. I am currently on a somewhat extended trip for work so I won’t be able to repost the table until my return in a week or so.
The repost will include proper credit for the great resources ICPjuggla, Cosmic80 and Herweh made available for my use.
