Nice score Tom @armyaviation, have a safe road trip.
The furthest I’ve driven for one was just under 600 miles/10 hours each way, not in one day-I’m not crazy , but Count-Down was worth it.

January 8, 2020 at 12:18 am #157404$400 is a score!! Hopefully it’s a fairly easy fix, if not there are a lot of helpful people around here to offer tech advice. Worst case like you say sell it to someone else as a project. Best case you fix it, play it and like it.
My longest was a 4 hour dive each way for a pin, I also had 3 other 6 hour round trips for pins. I usually take a friend along and stop for lunch on the way. Makes the time go by faster
Congrats

January 8, 2020 at 12:55 am #157406272 miles one way (so… hold the 7… carry the 2… ) 544 miles round trip
I drove from Ottawa to just outside Toronto to pick up my Hulk LE pinball, not sure of the miles/km’s, but it ended up being a 10 hour round trip. I’m nuts that way

January 8, 2020 at 1:48 pm #157451Man I forgot how heavy these things were. I guess it’s better than moving an arcade game.  It ended up being 6 1/2 hours down 440 miles. On the way back can’t wait to get this thing unloaded

Ha! Don’t forget the WD40! jk  Have fun, hope you still have time for your vp projects….but when I acquired my EM it halted my vp project and postponed the cab build for 5 months.

January 8, 2020 at 4:48 pm #157471Yeah I was just kidding about the bucket of water. It’s been a while if I remember right the last time I clean the playfield are used a magic eraser and denatured alcohol to get everything off. Does that sound about right

January 8, 2020 at 5:06 pm #157474Try Naptha first. ME as a last resort.
Magic Eraser is good if you’re going to clear coat it after but it will remove your protective clear. Your pf will be prettier but more susceptible to wear.

13 hours driving? That’s an impressive commitment. We’re all waiting on pics! On-site, loading up, unloading, sudzing it up! You’re going to be awake for two days straight now. Oh…you may try to sleep, but you won’t.

January 8, 2020 at 9:42 pm #157510It looks like a lot more than a $400 game, so you got a good deal, will have fun fixing it and if/when you tire of it, should lead to a nice little profit (as long as you don’t count the hours you put in as any kind of per hour wage, because then you’ll be making maybe 2 bucks per hour… if that lol)
